Batch / process manufacturingProprietary SaaS✓ Verified

Seed-to-sale software for licensed cannabis brands, processors and distributors, combining Metrc and BioTrack reporting with bills of materials, production assemblies, costing and wholesale order management.

Why it is classified this way

We call this a Batch / process manufacturing product. Built around recipes or formulas, batch runs, and lot genealogy. May or may not include full time-phased planning.

It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule; nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming; explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; uses lead times or required dates; and produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.

The six Full MRP tests, and how Distru does on each (1 of 6)
  1. YesIt represents a bill of materials, recipe, or formula.Evidence: help.distru.com › Bill of materials(opens in a new tab); distru.com › Bill of materials(opens in a new tab)
  2. UnknownIt accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule. Not established. No evidence found yet.
  3. PartialIt nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.
  4. PartialIt explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.A BOM explodes when you start a run, not when you plan: "When creating assemblies, choosing an output product with BOMs auto-populates the ingredients and quantities based on the recipe." There is no planning run that turns demand for a finished product into component requirements across levels. help.distru.com › Bill of materials(opens in a new tab)
  5. UnknownIt uses lead times or required dates. Not established. No evidence found yet.
  6. UnknownIt produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. Not established. No evidence found yet.

These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.

Best for

  • Licensed brands and distributors who want compliance reporting and wholesale orders on the same inventory
  • Processors whose production is assemblies from a BOM rather than a routed, scheduled job
  • Operators who want costs to follow inputs through production into what they sold

Not a fit when

  • Anyone who needs time-phased planning. Nothing here works out what to order and when
  • Shops that need routings, work centers or operator time capture on the floor
  • Buyers outside cannabis, since the whole product is built around Metrc and BioTrack

Pricing facts

What it costs to do manufacturing in this product.

No published price

This vendor does not publish pricing, so you cannot compare it against anything here without contacting them. We will not estimate a figure.

What moves the real bill

  • No published price. You have to contact the vendor, which usually means a sales call.

Pricing detail

No price is published anywhere on the site and there is no pricing page: every route ends at "Schedule a Demo". The one figure the site does quote, "flat pricing", belongs to Distru Commerce, its separate wholesale marketplace for retailers, not to the ERP. Treat any cost comparison here as unknown until you have a quote.

Planning

Working out what to buy or make, and when.

Planning capabilities, with our finding and its source for each.
CapabilityFindingWhat we found
Accepts dated demandYou can tell it what is due and when, sales orders with dates, a forecast, or a production schedule.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: documentation showing demand records that carry a required or due date.Know the answer?
Nets against stock on handIt subtracts what you already have before telling you to buy more.PartialThe BOM article offers "Possible quantities for production planning: Now you'll be able to determine how many units of a product you can produce based on your inventory on hand." That is availability from stock, not demand netted against supply. Input inventory can also be reserved on pending production orders.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Counts incoming ordersIt knows about purchase orders and production orders already placed, so it does not tell you to order twice.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: documentation showing open purchase or production orders included in the supply picture.Know the answer?
Uses lead timesIt works backwards from when you need something to when you must order or start it, using supplier and production lead times.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: documentation showing lead time fields that shift a suggested order or start date.Know the answer?
Produces dated buy/make suggestionsThe output is an actionable list with dates, order this much by this date, start this batch on this date.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: documentation or a screenshot of replenishment or planning suggestions carrying dates.Know the answer?
Capacity planningChecks whether your people and machines can do the work in the time available.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: documentation of work-center or resource capacity being compared against load.Know the answer?

Production

Recipes, bills of materials, and running the work.

Production capabilities, with our finding and its source for each.
CapabilityFindingWhat we found
Bill of materialsA list of the parts and quantities needed to make one of something.YesThe help center documents BOMs per product: "Bill of materials (BOMs) is a well-known concept in manufacturing that lists all materials and ingredients needed to manufacture a product," created from the product record under a "Bill of Materials" tab.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: help.distru.com › Bill of materials(opens in a new tab); distru.com › Bill of materials(opens in a new tab)Question this
Multi-level BOMSub-assemblies inside assemblies, a part that is itself made from other parts, nested as deep as you need.PartialThe feature page claims you can "Generate single or multi-level bill of materials per product of interest right from within Distru", and the assemblies page describes tracing "all the inputs and outputs of all assemblies in a chain back to the first step". The help article covers a single level, so how nesting behaves in one run is unconfirmed.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: distru.com › Bill of materials(opens in a new tab); distru.com › Assemblies(opens in a new tab)Question this
Recipes & formulasBatch-style production by weight, volume, or percentage, including scaling a batch up or down.PartialBOMs double as recipes: "Think of it as a recipe for making your product, making it easy for anyone in the production process to know ingredients should be used." Nothing describes scaling a batch by weight, volume or potency.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: help.distru.com › Bill of materials(opens in a new tab)Question this
Work / manufacturing ordersA record authorising and tracking the making of a specific quantity.YesProduction runs are assemblies, with their own dashboard and a pending state: the help center documents "Creating Assemblies" and "Pending Assemblies" ("Create Assemblies Now, Save and Complete Later!"), and the feature page describes multi-input, multi-output runs.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: help.distru.com › Creating assemblies(opens in a new tab); help.distru.com › Pending assemblies(opens in a new tab); distru.com › Assemblies(opens in a new tab)Question this
Routings & operationsThe ordered steps a product goes through, and which machine or station does each one.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: documentation of operation sequences or routings attached to production.Know the answer?
Shop-floor trackingOperators report progress, time, and completions as the work happens.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: documentation of a shop-floor, operator, or terminal interface for reporting production.Know the answer?
Quality controlsChecks, tests, holds, and non-conformance records tied to production or receiving.PartialQuality here is test results and holds rather than an inspection workflow: COAs are stored and compiled ("compiles all test results of packages that can be downloaded into one combined PDF file"), test result PDFs can be uploaded to packages, and a custom field can mark "if 'Quality Inspection' should be compulsory for either inputs or finished goods".Reviewed October 9, 2026. Inventory & traceability

Knowing what you hold and being able to trace it.

Inventory & traceability capabilities, with our finding and its source for each.
CapabilityFindingWhat we found
Batch & lot traceabilityWhich incoming material lots went into which finished batch, and where those finished goods went.Yes"Track every batch and lot across multiple locations, from cultivation to final sale. Our system pinpoints inventory down to bin levels," with a full transaction history per product, batch and package and a two-way Metrc sync.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: distru.com › Cannabis inventory management(opens in a new tab)Question this
Expiry & shelf lifeBest-before dates on materials and finished goods, with warnings before they lapse.YesExpiry dates are held per package and drive consumption order: "Ensure you're always consuming or selling the soonest-to-expire inventory by adding expiration dates to your packages!" The best time to set one is on intake through a purchase order.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: help.distru.com › Expiring inventory and fifo(opens in a new tab); distru.com › Cannabis inventory management(opens in a new tab)Question this
Serial numbersUnique identifiers on individual units, for warranty or field service.PartialThe inventory page lists "batch, FIFO and serial tracking for your bulk and finished goods" in one line. No article describes serialized units, so the depth is unconfirmed.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: distru.com › Cannabis inventory management(opens in a new tab)Question this

Commerce & accounting

Costs, purchasing, storefronts, and the books.

Commerce & accounting capabilities, with our finding and its source for each.
CapabilityFindingWhat we found
Product costing & COGSWhat it costs you to make one, and the cost of the goods you sold.Yes"All purchased items and their costs flow into assemblies based on what inputs are used to create the finished goods that then flow into the sales orders," with perpetual COGS on "FIFO, LIFO or average costing methods".Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: distru.com › Cost of goods(opens in a new tab); distru.com › Assemblies(opens in a new tab)Question this
PurchasingRaising and tracking purchase orders to suppliers from inside the system.YesThe help center documents raising a purchase order ("Start by going to the Main Menu, and then Click Purchasing... In the Purchase Order Page, select Create Purchase") and using it to intake both Metrc and batch-tracked inventory.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Ecommerce connectionPulls orders and pushes stock levels to a storefront or marketplace.YesOrders and inventory move between Distru and the trade's own channels: the help center carries integration collections for LeafLink (wholesale marketplace) and for the Dutchie, Treez and Blaze retail systems, described as "automating intake at your retail shops".Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: help.distru.com › En(opens in a new tab)Question this

Openness & your data capabilities, with our finding and its source for each.
CapabilityFindingWhat we found
APIA documented programming interface so other software can read and write your data.Yes"REST API, JSON responses, and an OpenAPI 3.0 spec you can drop into Postman or your own client." Authentication is a bearer token from Settings, and a public reference with request examples and a changelog is published.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: distru.com › Distru api(opens in a new tab); apidocs.distru.dev(opens in a new tab)Question this
WebhooksThe system can notify other software the moment something changes.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: documentation of outbound webhooks or event subscriptions.Know the answer?
MCP supportA Model Context Protocol server, letting an AI assistant read or act on this data. Useful, but it has nothing to do with whether the product plans materials.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: a first-party mcp server, or documentation of one.Know the answer?
CSV exportYou can get your lists out as spreadsheet files.YesAssembly data downloads as CSV ("download all assembly information into a csv to share with your team members"), and the help center has a collection on importing and updating data by CSV upload.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Editorial notes and cautions

Things we would want a friend to know before buying.

  • Compliance coverage is state by state. The site publishes separate BioTrack pages for individual states, so confirm your own market rather than assuming the integration covers it.
  • The "Understand Your Capacity" line on the assemblies page means how many units your material could make, not machine or labour capacity. It is a material calculation with a capacity-sounding name.
  • Distru Commerce, the wholesale marketplace with flat pricing, is a separate product from the ERP described here.

Evidence and verification

✓ VerifiedLast checked October 9, 2026 · 60% of capability fields resolved · 100% of those carry a source

Researched 2026-09-20. Unusually for this corner of the market, Distru publishes a real help center, so the BOM, assembly, purchase order and expiry claims come from documentation rather than feature copy; the marketing pages are used only where the help center is silent, and those values are recorded as Partial. The planning fields stay Unknown: nothing in either place describes a requirements run, and the product's own framing is seed-to-sale compliance plus wholesale operations.

What we still want to confirm

We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.

  • Read the Creating Assemblies article in full to confirm how multi-output runs and yield are recorded.
  • Establish whether a purchase order carries a due date that feeds any stock projection.
  • Confirm serial tracking depth, and whether webhooks exist alongside the REST API.
  • Get an indicative price band, since nothing is published.
  • Check whether a full account export exists beyond per-screen CSV downloads.

Still unknown: accepts dated demand, counts incoming orders, uses lead times, produces dated buy/make suggestions, capacity planning, routings & operations, shop-floor tracking, webhooks, mcp support, full data export.
