inoERP
by inoERP (Nishit R. Das)
An open-repository ERP with finance, purchasing, manufacturing and a documented MRP run, now shipped as a Go server binary with Flutter clients. The project looks dormant: the last commit was June 2023 and the demo server was down when we checked.
Inactive, not generally available
The GitHub repository's last commit was 2023-06-28 and its last tagged release (0.6.1) is from 2017. The demo server refused connections on 2026-09-19. The documentation site is still online.
Why it is classified this way
We call this a Manufacturing ERP product. A broad business system (accounting, sales, purchasing) with a substantial manufacturing or planning module attached.
This product meets our Full MRP tests, but we classify it by its center of gravity rather than its planning engine alone. The capability table below shows the detail.
The six Full MRP tests, and how inoERP does on each (6 of 6)
- YesIt represents a bill of materials, recipe, or formula.Evidence: docs.inoerp.com › Bill of materials(opens in a new tab)
- YesIt accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule.Evidence: docs.inoerp.com › Mrp(opens in a new tab)
- YesIt nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming.Evidence: docs.inoerp.com › Mrp(opens in a new tab)
- YesIt explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials.Evidence: docs.inoerp.com › Mrp(opens in a new tab)The MRP process steps: "Create dependent demand" and "Repeat step for all levels till the lowest level", after building low-level codes from each BOM's components.
- YesIt uses lead times or required dates.Evidence: docs.inoerp.com › Mrp(opens in a new tab)
- YesIt produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations.Evidence: docs.inoerp.com › Mrp(opens in a new tab); docs.inoerp.com › Planned order(opens in a new tab)
These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.
Best for
- Technical teams who want to study or reuse a documented MRP design and can maintain the software themselves
Not a fit when
- Anyone who needs a supported, maintained system: nothing has been committed since June 2023
- Buyers who want the full source of what they run; the server is a binary

Manufacturing capability
13 of 25 fields resolved. "Unknown" means we have not found first-party evidence. It is not a No.
Planning
Working out what to buy or make, and when.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Accepts dated demandYou can tell it what is due and when, sales orders with dates, a forecast, or a production schedule. | Yes | MRP collects demands from the master demand schedule, each with a date: "forecast date for forecast demands and scheduled ship date for sales order demands."Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: docs.inoerp.com › Mrp(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Nets against stock on handIt subtracts what you already have before telling you to buy more. | Yes | The MRP run's steps include "Net all supplies (OnHand, Open POs, WOs, Requisitions)".Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: docs.inoerp.com › Mrp(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Counts incoming ordersIt knows about purchase orders and production orders already placed, so it does not tell you to order twice. | Yes | Supplies collected include open purchase orders, open requisitions and open work orders, as well as on-hand stock.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: docs.inoerp.com › Mrp(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Uses lead timesIt works backwards from when you need something to when you must order or start it, using supplier and production lead times. | Yes | The run will "Offset demand by lead-time (1. Mfg Lead Time 2. Purchasing LT ) (Pre, Post, Processing)".Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: docs.inoerp.com › Mrp(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Produces dated buy/make suggestionsThe output is an actionable list with dates, order this much by this date, start this batch on this date. | Yes | Planned orders carry a Suggested Supply Date, used "as needed by the date for purchase requisition and the completion date for work orders"; they are released from the MRP Release Purchase Requisition and MRP Release Work Order screens.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: docs.inoerp.com › Mrp(opens in a new tab); docs.inoerp.com › Planned order(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Capacity planningChecks whether your people and machines can do the work in the time available. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation of work-center or resource capacity being compared against load.Know the answer? |
Production
Recipes, bills of materials, and running the work.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Bill of materialsA list of the parts and quantities needed to make one of something. | Yes | A BOM lists "the raw materials, sub-assemblies, intermediate assemblies, sub-components, parts, and the quantities of each needed to manufacture an end product."Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: docs.inoerp.com › Bill of materials(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Multi-level BOMSub-assemblies inside assemblies, a part that is itself made from other parts, nested as deep as you need. | Yes | Each BOM is single-level, but sub-assemblies have their own BOMs and MRP builds low-level codes through them "till all the items are added".Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: docs.inoerp.com › Bill of materials(opens in a new tab); docs.inoerp.com › Mrp(opens in a new tab)Question this |

| Work / manufacturing ordersA record authorising and tracking the making of a specific quantity. | Yes | Work orders are created from a work definition that "combines the material requirement, operations, and resource requirement", in draft status until released.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: docs.inoerp.com › Work order(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Routings & operationsThe ordered steps a product goes through, and which machine or station does each one. | Yes | A routing is "a list of operations with department and resource details that is required to manufacture a product."Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: docs.inoerp.com › Routing(opens in a new tab)Question this |

Deployment, licensing and your data
- Deployment
- Self-hosted, Desktop app, Mobile app
- Licensing
- Freeware, not open source
- Team sizes
- 6–20 people, 21–50 people
- Manufacturing styles
- Countable assembled products
About the licence
The repository is under MPL-2.0 and holds the database scripts and JavaScript business logic, but the Go server ships only as compiled binaries (oneapp_linux, oneapp_mac, oneapp_win.exe). We found no source for the server itself, so we do not call it open source.

Editorial notes and cautions
Things we would want a friend to know before buying.
- The MRP, planned-order and item-cost pages each say "This documentation is incomplete." The capability table reflects what the documentation describes, not a tested installation.
- Inactive project: check the repository for activity before you rely on it.
Evidence and verification
Why this record is not Verified. The MRP documentation describes all six planning steps, so the record passes the tests, but we hold it at partially verified: the project is inactive, the server source is not published, the demo was down, and several pages say the documentation is incomplete.
Researched 2026-09-19 from the project's documentation site and GitHub repository, read verbatim. The MRP documentation describes all six planning steps, so the record passes the tests, but we hold it at partially verified: the project is inactive, the server source is not published, the demo was down, and several pages say the documentation is incomplete.

What we still want to confirm
We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.
- Confirm whether anyone still maintains the project, and whether the binaries in the repository match the documentation.
- Read the WIP transaction page for shop-floor reporting, and find lot, serial and expiry handling (the lot page returns 404).
- Check capacity planning, quality and exports.
Still unknown: capacity planning, recipes & formulas, shop-floor tracking, quality controls, batch & lot traceability, expiry & shelf life, serial numbers, ecommerce connection, webhooks, mcp support, csv export, full data export.
