CabiPro
by CabiPro
Job management for Australian cabinet and joinery shops: quotes built from a parametric component library, a staged timeline per job, sheet stock reserved on approval and consumed at the saw with offcuts tracked by ID, purchase orders with goods receipts, and an installer app. One base plan at A$166 a month billed annually, with the books in Xero.
Why it is classified this way
We call this a Light manufacturing product. Has bills of materials or recipes, consumes stock when you build, and tracks production, but time-phased planning is not verified.
It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule; nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming; explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; uses lead times or required dates; and produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.

Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established. Each quote resolves its components into parts: "CabiPro resolves parts, sheet nesting, edging, hardware and labour before markup and discount." and on approval "Cut list reserves the exact sheets needed." This is per job; nothing documents a planning run that totals component requirements across jobs. cabipro.com › Quoting software(opens in a new tab); cabipro.com › Inventory management(opens in a new tab)

These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.
Best for
- Australian cabinet makers and joinery workshops that quote room by room from a component library and want the quote, cut list, stages and install on one job record
- Shops that reserve sheet stock per job and want offcuts logged by ID for the next cut list
- Teams with installers in the field who file photos, checklists and expense claims against the lot from a phone
- Workshops that keep the books in Xero and want supplier bills and client invoices pushed across once
Not a fit when
- Makers outside cabinets and joinery: the materials model is sheets, edging and cabinet hardware, and the preloaded catalogs are Australian suppliers
- Shops that need a material plan netted across jobs with dated purchase suggestions; reordering works from reorder points and lead times per item
- Anyone who needs an API, webhooks or an ecommerce connection, none of which any page mentions
- Businesses on MYOB or QuickBooks; only Xero is connected today, with MYOB listed as in development

Pricing detail
One plan, "CabiPro Base Plan", which "Includes 1 Admin + 1 Installer user." The page shows A$166 a month "Billed annually at $1992/year" on its Annual toggle, marked "-17%". The Monthly toggle renders in the browser; the page's structured data carries an offer of 200.00 AUD and its savings example says "the software costs A$200 per month", so we record A$200 as the monthly price. Extra seats: "A$35/month per Admin, A$20/month per Installer - on top of the 1 + 1 included with the base plan." Add-ons, prorated to the day: WhatsApp Messaging A$29 a month, Extra Storage A$10 a month for another 25 GB on top of the 10 GB included. The Xero integration, the Foreman AI assistant (beta) and the mobile app are included at no extra charge. 14-day free trial with no credit card. The terms say billing is by invoice, "Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly, as selected", and that after the trial "your account moves to the Starter plan", a name the pricing page does not use. Prices are in Australian dollars; the page does not say whether GST is included.

Manufacturing capability
18 of 25 fields resolved. "Unknown" means we have not found first-party evidence. It is not a No.
Planning
Working out what to buy or make, and when.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Accepts dated demandYou can tell it what is due and when, sales orders with dates, a forecast, or a production schedule. | Partial | Jobs carry dated production stages: "Status, dates and team for each production stage. Changes save as you go." Install and delivery dates can be pinned: "pin an install date, a customer-promised completion or a delivery window and CabiPro will route around it." These dates belong to the job schedule; no page describes a forecast or demand feeding a material plan.Reviewed October 10, 2026. Source: cabipro.com › Project management(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Nets against stock on handIt subtracts what you already have before telling you to buy more. | Partial | Reservations are netted against stock on hand: "Reserve materials the moment a job is approved, free them if a job is delayed", and the stock card shows on hand, reserved and available counts. The Materials to Order module tracks "what's required, what's already ordered, and what's been used" per project. No page describes a calculation that deducts available stock from a job's requirement to arrive at what to buy; reorder alerts fire at a reorder point.Reviewed October 10, 2026. Source: cabipro.com › Inventory management(opens in a new tab); cabipro.com › Features(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Counts incoming ordersIt knows about purchase orders and production orders already placed, so it does not tell you to order twice. | Partial | Incoming stock is visible: "Each sheet on your rack has a status: free, reserved for a job, consumed, or inbound on a delivery." Open purchase orders are "Linked to jobs so you can see which jobs are blocked by open POs." No page says open orders enter a requirement calculation.Reviewed October 10, 2026. Source: cabipro.com › Inventory management(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Uses lead timesIt works backwards from when you need something to when you must order or start it, using supplier and production lead times. | Partial | Lead times exist on materials and on stages: "Set reorder points and supplier lead times per material. CabiPro warns you before you run out." and "Design, CNC, edge, assembly, spray and install each get their own crew and lead time." The supplier lead time feeds a reorder alert; no page shows it shifting a suggested order date.Reviewed October 10, 2026. Source: cabipro.com › Inventory management(opens in a new tab); cabipro.com › Project management(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Produces dated buy/make suggestionsThe output is an actionable list with dates, order this much by this date, start this batch on this date. | Partial | The buy suggestion is an alert with a pre-filled order, not a dated list: "Materials low? Raise a PO straight from the rack alert. It pre-fills with the items, quantities and supplier you used last time." No page shows an order-by or start date on a suggestion.Reviewed October 10, 2026. Source: cabipro.com › Inventory management(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Capacity planningChecks whether your people and machines can do the work in the time available. | Yes | The scheduling page shows load against machines and crew: "Machine load views: See your CNC, edge bander and spray booth as their own rows." and "If a stage is creeping over 85% loaded six weeks out, you get a quiet morning email before it becomes a fire." Stage durations come from job templates: "Job templates carry their own time estimates per stage."Reviewed October 10, 2026. Production
Recipes, bills of materials, and running the work.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Bill of materialsA list of the parts and quantities needed to make one of something. | Yes | Components carry parametric part lists: "Each component can carry formula-driven parts and labour. CabiPro resolves those formulas against the quoted width, height, depth and options, then prices sheet material, nesting, edging, hardware, finishes and labour into the area cost." The industries page uses the word: "Select hinge type, get the right part on the BOM every time."Reviewed October 10, 2026. Source: cabipro.com › Quoting software(opens in a new tab); cabipro.com › Industries(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Multi-level BOMSub-assemblies inside assemblies, a part that is itself made from other parts, nested as deep as you need. | Partial | The structure is job, cabinet, component: "Jobs nest under contracts. Cabinets nest under jobs. Components nest under cabinets." The quote builder shows a cabinet resolving to side panels, doors and hinges. No page documents a sub-assembly with a part list of its own used inside another component.Reviewed October 10, 2026. | Recipes & formulasBatch-style production by weight, volume, or percentage, including scaling a batch up or down. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation of recipe or formula records, ideally with batch scaling.Know the answer? |
| Work / manufacturing ordersA record authorising and tracking the making of a specific quantity. | Yes | An approved quote becomes a scheduled job: "Approved quotes turn into scheduled jobs in one click. Cut list, material reservation and production slot all booked at the same time." Projects hold "Multiple jobs under one project" with "Clear job status tracking". The record is a project lot with production stages, not a manufacturing order with a build quantity.Reviewed October 10, 2026. Source: cabipro.com › Project management(opens in a new tab); cabipro.com › Features(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Routings & operationsThe ordered steps a product goes through, and which machine or station does each one. | Yes | Jobs run through ordered stages with dependencies: "Every project broken into its stages - design, CNC, edge banding, assembly, spray, install" and "Dependency chains: CNC can't start before design signs off. Install can't go before assembly. Set the rules once; the schedule respects them on every drag."Reviewed October 10, 2026. Source: cabipro.com › Project management(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Shop-floor trackingOperators report progress, time, and completions as the work happens. | Yes | Stages are reported from the floor: "CabiPro can drive a wall-mounted shop dashboard that shows today's running order, who's on what, and what's coming next. Crew tap into it to mark stages complete." Sheets are "Scanned at the panel saw." The homepage says "Stations scan in. Bottlenecks light up before they cost you a day."Reviewed October 10, 2026. | Quality controlsChecks, tests, holds, and non-conformance records tied to production or receiving. | Partial | Scrap is recorded with a reason and can be raised against the supplier: "Mark it scrapped and choose a reason. The cost flows into waste analytics, and supplier defects can be raised against the related PO." Installers work "Before and after installation sections" of a checklist. No inspections, tests, holds or non-conformance records are described.Reviewed October 10, 2026. Inventory & traceability
Knowing what you hold and being able to trace it.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Batch & lot traceabilityWhich incoming material lots went into which finished batch, and where those finished goods went. | Partial | Sheets are traced by ID rather than by supplier lot: "Every sheet leaves a trail: when it arrived, who scanned it in, which job reserved it, when it hit the saw, what offcuts came off it, and which install it ended up in." and "Install address is recorded, so future warranty questions can trace the material batch and supplier." No supplier lot or batch number field is documented, and "lot" in CabiPro means a project lot such as a kitchen or pantry.Reviewed October 10, 2026. Source: cabipro.com › Inventory management(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Expiry & shelf lifeBest-before dates on materials and finished goods, with warnings before they lapse. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation of expiry, best-before, or shelf-life date fields.Know the answer? |
| Serial numbersUnique identifiers on individual units, for warranty or field service. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation of serial number tracking on individual units.Know the answer? |
Commerce & accounting
Costs, purchasing, storefronts, and the books.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Product costing & COGSWhat it costs you to make one, and the cost of the goods you sold. | Partial | Quoted cost comes from material and labor rates: "Pricing reads live from your material costs and labour rates, so what you quote is what it costs you." The quote builder shows a "Total Cost (pre-markup)" of materials plus labor. Actual job profitability is a beta AI feature: "Hours, materials, suppliers and rework rolled into job-by-job profitability." No COGS report is described.Reviewed October 10, 2026. | CSV exportYou can get your lists out as spreadsheet files. | Partial | The homepage FAQ says: "Export quotes, jobs, customers and cut lists whenever you like - you are never locked in." On the vendor's roadmap
The vendor's own account of what is coming, dated. A plan changes nothing in the table above, which records what we saw working.
- A MYOB sync is listed as in development alongside Xero on the inventory page: "POs become draft bills, GRNs reconcile supplier statements, and the inventory number makes sense." Vendor statement, October 10, 2026.
- Calendar sync is in development: "Push your install dates and site measures to Google Calendar, iCloud or Outlook." Vendor statement, October 10, 2026.
- Admin access on mobile is planned: "Full admin features on the phone", including approving quotes, raising POs and reviewing the production board. Vendor statement, October 10, 2026.

Editorial notes and cautions
Things we would want a friend to know before buying.
- Prices are in Australian dollars, and the product is built for cabinet and joinery shops specifically: the vendor says it is "built for Australian cabinet makers and joinery workshops", the materials model is sheet stock, edging and cabinet hardware, and the preloaded supplier catalogs are Australian brands.
- Most evidence is marketing. Every claim here rests on cabipro.com feature pages, their FAQs and the terms of service; we found no help center, documentation site or API reference to check them against.
- The A$166 headline is the annual price. Paying monthly is A$200, read from the page's structured data and its savings example because the monthly toggle renders in the browser. Each extra admin seat is A$35 a month and each installer seat A$20.
- Materials are consumed, not only reserved: the inventory page says CabiPro "writes consumption back when a sheet hits the panel saw" and lists stock movements as used or wasted on projects. What no page shows is a requirement netted across jobs or a dated purchase suggestion.
- The vendor's own pages disagree in places. The About page roadmap lists the Xero push and the installer mobile app as unreleased while the pricing, Xero and mobile app pages describe both as shipped; the industries page says hardware catalogs come "pre-loaded with current pricing and codes" while the supplier catalog page says "You set the pricing per item". We recorded what the product pages say.
- Foreman, the AI assistant, is in beta and the vendor says to "verify anything critical against the linked record".
- A young product: the About page says CabiPro was founded in January 2026.
Alternatives to CabiPro
An alternative is always an alternative for a reason. There is no universal replacement.
WorkGuru is also priced in Australian dollars and also leaves the books outside, but its inventory add-on documents FIFO stock with batch and serial tracking and it connects MYOB and QuickBooks as well as Xero, at a higher A$650 a month.
Statii serves subcontract engineering rather than cabinets, but its cheap shop-floor seat with clocking on and off jobs is the closest comparison for CabiPro's A$20 installer seat, which covers photos, checklists and claims rather than time on jobs.
Evidence and verification
Why this record is not Verified. New record from one research pass on 2026-10-10, resting on the vendor's marketing pages and terms with no documentation to check them against. Held at partially verified until an editor re-reads the cited pages.
Researched 2026-10-10 from cabipro.com only: the homepage, the pricing page (annual figure read off the page, monthly figure from its structured data and savings example), every feature page in the sitemap, the Xero, mobile app, supplier catalog, industries and About pages, and the terms of service. There is no help center or documentation site, and the blog and app store listings were not read.

What we still want to confirm
We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.
- Confirm the A$200 monthly price on the pricing page's Monthly toggle, which renders in the browser; we read it from the page's structured data and its savings example.
- Confirm what the "Starter plan" named in the terms is; the pricing page shows only the Base Plan.
- Confirm whether any material requirement is netted across jobs or any purchase suggestion carries a date; the pages describe reorder points, lead times and one-click POs from alerts.
- Confirm whether an API, webhooks, ecommerce connections, serial numbers or expiry dates exist; no page mentions them.
- Confirm which records export, in which formats, and whether a self-serve full export exists beyond the copy on request promised in the terms.
- Resolve the About page roadmap, which lists the Xero push and the installer app as unreleased while the product pages describe both as shipped.
- Confirm whether prices include GST.
