Datacor ERP
by Datacor
Process manufacturing ERP for chemical and formula makers, covering formulas with version control, finite-capacity scheduling, cradle-to-grave lot traceability and the safety documents that come with regulated chemistry. It also serves distributors, so confirm which half you are buying.
Why it is classified this way
We call this a Batch / process manufacturing product. Built around recipes or formulas, batch runs, and lot genealogy. May or may not include full time-phased planning.
It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming; explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; and produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.
The six Full MRP tests, and how Datacor ERP does on each (3 of 6)
- YesIt represents a bill of materials, recipe, or formula.Evidence: datacor.com › Bill of materials process(opens in a new tab); datacor.com › Capabilities(opens in a new tab)
- YesIt accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule.Evidence: datacor.com › Capabilities(opens in a new tab)
- PartialIt nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming. Not established. Backed only by a limited source (a vendor video from before 2023, source code, an old blog post or a single marketing line), which can fill the table but cannot pass this test.
- UnknownIt explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials. Not established. No evidence found yet.
- YesIt uses lead times or required dates.Evidence: datacor.com › Capabilities(opens in a new tab)
- PartialIt produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. Not established. Backed only by a limited source (a vendor video from before 2023, source code, an old blog post or a single marketing line), which can fill the table but cannot pass this test.
These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.
Best for
- Chemical and formula makers who need safety data sheets and certificates of analysis generated from the formula
- Shops that need finite-capacity scheduling rather than an infinite-capacity promise
- Manufacturers who also distribute, since the product covers both
Not a fit when
- Anyone needing a published price, since none appears on the vendor's site
- Very small shops, since the emphasis on scaling without extra headcount suggests mid-market
Pricing facts
What it costs to do manufacturing in this product.
No published price
This vendor does not publish pricing, so you cannot compare it against anything here without contacting them. We will not estimate a figure.
What moves the real bill

| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Accepts dated demandYou can tell it what is due and when, sales orders with dates, a forecast, or a production schedule. | Yes | "Automatically generate batches from order entry or MRP", so live orders drive production.Reviewed October 9, 2026. | Nets against stock on handIt subtracts what you already have before telling you to buy more. | Yes | From a Datacor article (published 2021-06-15): "It will then give forecasts for each raw material, comparing both inventory and the scale of production, and tell you whether or not you have enough in stock to make the necessary volumes of antifreeze in the months ahead." A vendor article from 2021, so it fills the table but does not count toward the Full MRP label.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: Vendor blog, 2021(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Counts incoming ordersIt knows about purchase orders and production orders already placed, so it does not tell you to order twice. | Yes | From a 2021 Datacor article (published 2021-09-21): "We determine if you have the necessary ingredients in stock and, if not, whether you have an existing purchase order in place that can deliver them in time or if they can be transferred from another site or warehouse." Open production orders are not mentioned. A vendor article from 2021, so it fills the table but does not count toward the Full MRP label.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: Vendor blog, 2021(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Uses lead timesIt works backwards from when you need something to when you must order or start it, using supplier and production lead times. | Yes | Material planning is automated "using historical data, purchase history, usage trends, lead times", so lead time is an input to the calculation.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: datacor.com › Capabilities(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Produces dated buy/make suggestionsThe output is an actionable list with dates, order this much by this date, start this batch on this date. | Yes | From a Datacor article (published 2021-06-15): "If there is not enough in stock, then the system will look at lead times and assess when you need to place a purchase order to get your raw materials in time." No documentation or screenshot shows the suggestion list with an order-by date. A vendor article from 2021, so it fills the table but does not count toward the Full MRP label.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: Vendor blog, 2021(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Capacity planningChecks whether your people and machines can do the work in the time available. | Yes | "Finite-capacity scheduling tools balance production with labor and equipment availability." Finite is the word that matters.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: datacor.com › Capabilities(opens in a new tab)Question this |
Production
Recipes, bills of materials, and running the work.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Bill of materialsA list of the parts and quantities needed to make one of something. | Partial | The vendor states: "The above displays Datacor's digitized BOM. Learn more here." From a vendor blog post showing Datacor's BOM screen as an image. The text does not describe the component structure, so multi-level support is not assumed. Checked 2026-09-14.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: datacor.com › Bill of materials process(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Multi-level BOMSub-assemblies inside assemblies, a part that is itself made from other parts, nested as deep as you need. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation of nested or multi-level bom structures, not just a flat component list.Know the answer? |
| Recipes & formulasBatch-style production by weight, volume, or percentage, including scaling a batch up or down. | Yes | "Configure complex formulas with version control and scalable batch sizes."Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: datacor.com › Capabilities(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Work / manufacturing ordersA record authorising and tracking the making of a specific quantity. | Yes | "Create and track repair and production work orders through an integrated CMMS."Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: datacor.com › Capabilities(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Routings & operationsThe ordered steps a product goes through, and which machine or station does each one. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation of operation sequences or routings attached to production.Know the answer? |
| Shop-floor trackingOperators report progress, time, and completions as the work happens. | Partial | The ERP lets you "Empower operators with electronic, mobile-accessible batch tickets". Reporting progress, time and quality at the line as work happens is described only for Datacor's separate MES product, listed under complementary products, so budget for that if you need paperless shop-floor execution.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: datacor.com › Capabilities(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Quality controlsChecks, tests, holds, and non-conformance records tied to production or receiving. | Yes | "Track and control product quality from formulation to final shipment."Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: datacor.com › Capabilities(opens in a new tab)Question this |

Editorial notes and cautions
Things we would want a friend to know before buying.
- Datacor serves distributors as well as manufacturers. The capability list mixes both, so check that the modules you are quoted include the production side you came for.
Evidence and verification
The vendor's capabilities page is unusually specific, which is why so many fields are recorded as yes with a direct quote. Finite-capacity scheduling and lead times as a planning input are both stated outright, which is rarer in this catalog than it should be. What is missing is any statement that planning output carries dates, which is the difference between this and Full MRP. Promoted to Verified on 2026-08-14: 52% of capability fields resolved, every displayed answer sourced, two first-party sources, and the quote-only pricing position explained rather than estimated.

What we still want to confirm
We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.
- Still open: pricing, and which modules a quote covers. Datacor publishes no ERP pricing and sends buyers to request a demo, so only a sales quote can answer this.
- See the dated purchase suggestions in a demo or current documentation; the only evidence is a 2021 article saying the system works out when to place a purchase order.
Still unknown: multi-level bom, routings & operations, serial numbers, ecommerce connection, api, webhooks, mcp support, csv export, full data export.
