Tricorn Enterprise
by Fitfactory
Tricorn is UK production control and MRP software for subcontract engineering SMEs, now sold by Fitfactory as Tricorn MRP. Enterprise is its fullest edition: quoting, works orders with operations, capacity planning, purchasing and goods-in with batch numbers, quality (NCRs, inspection, calibration, SC21), shop-floor data collection, job costing and a two-way link to Sage, Pegasus or Xero.
Why it is classified this way
We call this a Light manufacturing product. Has bills of materials or recipes, consumes stock when you build, and tracks production, but time-phased planning is not verified.
It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule; nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming; explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; uses lead times or required dates; and produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.
The six Full MRP tests, and how Tricorn Enterprise does on each (1 of 6)

These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.
Best for
- UK subcontract machine shops and fabricators that want quote-to-invoice control and audit-ready records
- Shops working to ISO 9001, AS9100 or IATF 16949 that need NCRs, inspection and certificates of conformity in the same system
Not a fit when
- Manufacturers who need dated MRP purchase suggestions; none are documented
- Buyers who want a published price

Working out what to buy or make, and when.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Accepts dated demandYou can tell it what is due and when, sales orders with dates, a forecast, or a production schedule. | Partial | Sales order processing with contract review and acknowledgement. No page shows dated demand driving material planning.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: tricorn.tech › Tricorn enterprise(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Nets against stock on handIt subtracts what you already have before telling you to buy more. | Partial | Purchase orders can be created "straight from works orders or stock requirements", and "When something's running low, you'll know before it stops a job". No net-requirement calculation is described.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: fitfactory.com › Manufacturing production control(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Counts incoming ordersIt knows about purchase orders and production orders already placed, so it does not tell you to order twice. | Partial | Purchasing lets you "track what's on order, and know exactly what's due in". Whether that supply offsets requirements is not described.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: fitfactory.com › Manufacturing production control(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Uses lead timesIt works backwards from when you need something to when you must order or start it, using supplier and production lead times. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation showing lead time fields that shift a suggested order or start date.Know the answer? |
| Produces dated buy/make suggestionsThe output is an actionable list with dates, order this much by this date, start this batch on this date. | Partial | A central purchase requisition list "ensures all materials are flagged to be ordered and delivered in time for the appropriate operation". No order-by dates are shown.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: tricorn.tech › Tricorn enterprise(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Capacity planningChecks whether your people and machines can do the work in the time available. | Yes | Production planning allocates "machines, operators and resources to jobs in advance" with "visual capacity planning" to find bottlenecks.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Editorial notes and cautions
Things we would want a friend to know before buying.
- The product has changed hands. The Enterprise feature list comes from tricorn.tech (copyright 2023), which now routes support to Fitfactory; Fitfactory (founded 2020 on Tricorn's software) sells it today as Tricorn MRP. Confirm the edition names in a quote.
- Evidence is marketing pages only. There is no public manual.
Evidence and verification
Why this record is not Verified. Held at partially verified: marketing pages only, no price, and no planning run described.
Researched 2026-09-19 from the tricorn.tech Enterprise and products pages (Enterprise feature tabs read from the page HTML) and Fitfactory's manufacturing and about pages, read in full. The vendor is recorded as Fitfactory, which now sells Tricorn. Held at partially verified: marketing pages only, no price, and no planning run described.

What we still want to confirm
We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.
- Confirm whether Fitfactory still sells an Enterprise edition, and its current feature set.
- Find documentation of any material planning with dates.
- Confirm multi-level BOMs, serials, API and export options.
- Get an indicative price.
Still unknown: uses lead times, multi-level bom, recipes & formulas, serial numbers, ecommerce connection, api, webhooks, mcp support, csv export, full data export.
