Manufacturing ERPProprietary SaaSPartially verified

Apparel ERP for brands that make through factories and sell wholesale, direct and on marketplaces: tech packs and BOMs, production orders and batches sent to manufacturers, routes of outside services, material purchasing sized from sales, staged receiving with weighted average cost, and its own general ledger. Quote only.

Why it is classified this way

We call this a Manufacturing ERP product. A broad business system (accounting, sales, purchasing) with a substantial manufacturing or planning module attached.

It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule; explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; uses lead times or required dates; and produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.

The six Full MRP tests, and how Uphance does on each (2 of 6)
  1. YesIt represents a bill of materials, recipe, or formula.Evidence: help.uphance.com › Generating and managing bill of materials bom(opens in a new tab); help.uphance.com › How to assign products to materials(opens in a new tab)
  2. PartialIt accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.
  3. YesIt nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming.Evidence: help.uphance.com › How to generate inventory reports(opens in a new tab)
  4. PartialIt explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.Material purchase orders are built "with the quantities necessary to cover your sales and production", and a production batch lists "all the materials and services associated with the products you added". How the quantities are worked out, and whether stock on hand is netted first, is not shown. help.uphance.com › How to create and edit material purchase orders(opens in a new tab); help.uphance.com › How to create production batches purchase orders(opens in a new tab)
  5. PartialIt uses lead times or required dates. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.
  6. UnknownIt produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. Not established. No evidence found yet.

These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.

Best for

  • Growing apparel and footwear brands that make through contract factories and sell wholesale and direct
  • Brands that want tech packs, BOMs, production orders, materials purchasing and receiving in one system
  • Teams that want staged factory receipts to set weighted average cost automatically

Not a fit when

  • Small makers who want a published price or a self-serve trial; there is neither
  • Shops that cut and sew in-house and need operator screens and capacity planning, which are not documented
  • Anyone outside apparel, footwear and accessories; the product is built around styles, colors and sizes

Pricing facts

What it costs to do manufacturing in this product.

No published price

This vendor does not publish pricing, so you cannot compare it against anything here without contacting them. We will not estimate a figure.

What moves the real bill

  • Onboarding fee. Implementation is scoped after a demo: "Implementation scope and rollout planning are defined after the demo." No figure is published.
  • No published price. You have to contact the vendor, which usually means a sales call.

Pricing detail

Quote only. The pricing page says pricing is "scoped around the shape of your operation, including users, workflows, channels, integrations, warehouses, and onboarding requirements" and "No self-serve trial. No generic quote." The process is a discovery call, a tailored demo, then a package and rollout plan. No plan names or figures are published. The help center's sidebar still offers "Start a FREE Trial", which the pricing page contradicts.

Uses lead timesIt works backwards from when you need something to when you must order or start it, using supplier and production lead times.PartialMarketing pages say production orders are tracked per factory "with separate lead times, payment terms, and delivery milestones per vendor". Editorial notes and cautions

Things we would want a friend to know before buying.

  • No published price and no trial. Pricing follows a discovery call and a tailored demo, and implementation is scoped separately.
  • Material consumption is described only on a marketing page ("each production receipt decrements the BOM components from raw-material inventory"). The help articles on production orders and receiving cover finished goods, not materials.
  • The native general ledger is described on a marketing page only; we found no help article on setting it up.

Alternatives to Uphance

An alternative is always an alternative for a reason. There is no universal replacement.

  • WFX Apparel ERPStronger true MRP

WFX documents a material requirements run that fills needs from free stock and materials on order, which Uphance does not describe.

  • AIMS360 is another quote-led apparel ERP with cut tickets, production stages, wholesale and EDI, and its own accounting.

  • ApparelMagic covers the same ground for apparel brands, with tech packs, production with vendors and its own ledger, and it publishes its plan prices.

What we still want to confirm

We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.

  • Confirm in the help center or a demo that receiving a production order reduces raw-material stock; only a marketing FAQ says so.
  • Confirm whether BOMs can nest (a trim or component made from other materials).
  • Confirm whether lots, serials or expiry dates are tracked; nothing public mentions them.
  • Find a help article for the native general ledger.
  • Get any indication of price: plan names, a minimum, or implementation cost.

Still unknown: produces dated buy/make suggestions, capacity planning, multi-level bom, recipes & formulas, batch & lot traceability, expiry & shelf life, serial numbers, mcp support, full data export.
