Autodesk Fusion Operations
by Autodesk
Autodesk's cloud MES for the shop floor: products defined as operations with bills of materials, production orders run from tablets, lot and serial traceability, non-conformity records, production costing, and a dated material-requirements board. Priced per user on annual subscriptions.
Why it is classified this way
We call this a MES / shop floor product. Runs and records what happens on the floor. Execution, not planning, usually downstream of an ERP or MRP system.
It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; uses lead times or required dates; and produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.
The six Full MRP tests, and how Autodesk Fusion Operations does on each (3 of 6)
- YesIt represents a bill of materials, recipe, or formula.Evidence: help.fusionoperations.autodesk.com › How to add a bill of materials(opens in a new tab)
- YesIt accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule.Evidence: help.fusionoperations.autodesk.com › Material requirements(opens in a new tab)
- YesIt nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming.Evidence: help.fusionoperations.autodesk.com › Material requirements(opens in a new tab)
- PartialIt explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.Materials are exploded only from production orders that exist: "the Bill of Materials from sales orders is not considered for the quantities to be consumed, as it only becomes a need once you schedule your production". No planning run creates component requirements from demand. help.fusionoperations.autodesk.com › Material requirements(opens in a new tab)
- PartialIt uses lead times or required dates. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.
- PartialIt produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.
These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.

Editorial notes and cautions
Things we would want a friend to know before buying.
- Material requirements is a dated view of existing orders, not an MRP run: component demand appears only once a production order exists, and lead times are shown but not applied.
- The finder prices every user at the full $173 seat; operators may only need the $35 Shop Floor subscription.
Evidence and verification
Researched 2026-09-19 from the public Fusion Operations help center, read verbatim, and Autodesk's buy page, read in a normal browser (the automated reader was refused). Classed MES / shop floor: the material board nets dated supply and demand but does not plan.

What we still want to confirm
We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.
- Confirm whether lead time ever offsets a suggestion date on the Material Requirements board.
- Check expiry dates, recipes, ecommerce connectors and webhooks (Zapier is documented).
- Confirm whether a Shop Floor seat can be bought without a full seat, and the free-trial length.
- Source the Prodsmart history before adding it as a former name.
Still unknown: recipes & formulas, expiry & shelf life, ecommerce connection, webhooks, mcp support, full data export.
