BatchMaster ERP

by BatchMaster Software

Batch / process manufacturingProprietary SaaS✓ Verified

Process manufacturing software for recipe and formula makers, sold either as a complete ERP or as a manufacturing layer bolted onto accounting you already run. That second option is the interesting one for a smaller shop: it can sit on QuickBooks rather than replacing it.

Why it is classified this way

We call this a Batch / process manufacturing product. Built around recipes or formulas, batch runs, and lot genealogy. May or may not include full time-phased planning.

It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; and uses lead times or required dates. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.

The six Full MRP tests, and how BatchMaster ERP does on each (4 of 6)
  1. YesIt represents a bill of materials, recipe, or formula.Evidence: Vendor video, 2026, at 12:18(opens in a new tab); batchmaster.com(opens in a new tab)
  2. YesIt accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule.Evidence: batchmaster.com(opens in a new tab)
  3. YesIt nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming.Evidence: batchmaster.com(opens in a new tab); Vendor video, 2026, at 0:44(opens in a new tab); Vendor video, 2026, at 22:21(opens in a new tab); batchmaster.com › BM NA ALL DS MPS and MRP.pdf(opens in a new tab)
  4. UnknownIt explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials. Not established. No evidence found yet.
  5. PartialIt uses lead times or required dates. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.
  6. YesIt produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations.Evidence: batchmaster.com › BM NA ALL DS MPS and MRP.pdf(opens in a new tab)

These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.

Best for

  • Formula makers who want manufacturing without replacing accounting they already run
  • Shops in food, nutraceuticals, cosmetics or coatings that need regulatory records alongside production

Not a fit when

  • Anyone who needs a price before a sales conversation, since none is published
  • Very small shops, since the vendor positions itself for growing mid-market manufacturers

Pricing facts

What it costs to do manufacturing in this product.

No published price

This vendor does not publish pricing, so you cannot compare it against anything here without contacting them. We will not estimate a figure.

What moves the real bill

  • No published price. You have to contact the vendor, which usually means a sales call.

Pricing detail

No published pricing. The vendor asks you to contact sales or request a demo. Worth asking two things specifically: whether you are buying the full ERP or only the manufacturing layer over your existing accounting, because those are different products at different prices, and what the implementation costs.

Checked on August 14, 2026. No first-party pricing page recorded. Prices change. Check before you buy.

CapabilityFindingWhat we found
Accepts dated demandYou can tell it what is due and when, sales orders with dates, a forecast, or a production schedule.YesMaster Production Scheduling is a named module, which is one of the dated demand inputs the Full MRP rules accept.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: batchmaster.com(opens in a new tab)Question this
Nets against stock on handIt subtracts what you already have before telling you to buy more.YesA 2026 vendor video on MRP and MPS says "the system consolidates the gross demands which are coming from the multiple sources, may be the customer orders, the forecast demand dependent demands", and a 2026 vendor demo of the buyer dashboard nets on-hand stock by location against them, with "safety stock as well as any expired lots that you may have" taken into account.Source: batchmaster.com(opens in a new tab); Vendor video, 2026, at 0:44(opens in a new tab); Vendor video, 2026, at 22:21(opens in a new tab)Question this
Counts incoming ordersIt knows about purchase orders and production orders already placed, so it does not tell you to order twice.YesThe vendor states: "Supply Sources Planners can choose any combination of these supply sources to be used in MPS and MRP calculations: • On hand quantity • Scheduled purchase receipts • Scheduled production receipts" From the vendor's MPS and MRP datasheet, dated 2018. Planners choose which supply sources count, so incoming receipts may not be switched on in every setup. Checked 2026-09-14.Reviewed September 14, 2026. Source: batchmaster.com › BM NA ALL DS MPS and MRP.pdf(opens in a new tab)Question this
Uses lead timesIt works backwards from when you need something to when you must order or start it, using supplier and production lead times.PartialThe vendor states: "Products under MRP control require Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), lot sizing methods, preferred supplier and purchase lead time values." Lead time is a required input, but the 2018 datasheet does not explain how it offsets order dates. Checked 2026-09-14.Reviewed September 14, 2026. Source: batchmaster.com › BM NA ALL DS MPS and MRP.pdf(opens in a new tab)Question this
Produces dated buy/make suggestionsThe output is an actionable list with dates, order this much by this date, start this batch on this date.YesThe vendor states: "Similar to MPS processing, MRP generates the procurement plan, creates recommended purchase orders for preferred suppliers, including suggested submission dates. Once confirmed, these purchase order recommendations are converted into actual purchase orders." From the same 2018 datasheet, which also documents MPS start and end dates. Checked 2026-09-14.Reviewed September 14, 2026. Source: batchmaster.com › BM NA ALL DS MPS and MRP.pdf(opens in a new tab)Question this
Capacity planningChecks whether your people and machines can do the work in the time available.PartialScheduling is present through Master Production Scheduling. Finite capacity scheduling comes from Opcenter APS, a separate Siemens product that BatchMaster promotes on its MRP page: "Take advantage of a finite capacity scheduling tool that creates and adjusts production schedules in minutes and considers:". It is not native to BatchMaster, so expect a separate purchase.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Routings & operationsThe ordered steps a product goes through, and which machine or station does each one.PartialIn a 2026 vendor webinar, operation steps are set up as levels of the product structure: "So any operation steps that you have and you want to account for those operation steps you can you can define your product structures respectively within the system." No separate routing with work centers and run times was shown, so steps live inside the formula structure rather than as their own object.Source: Vendor video, 2026, at 13:37(opens in a new tab)Question this
Shop-floor trackingOperators report progress, time, and completions as the work happens.YesIn a 2026 vendor webinar the presenter shows an operator app "that runs on any touch device", where operators issue ingredients in formula order using connected scales and the actual quantities post back to the batch.Source: Vendor video, 2026, at 26:34(opens in a new tab)Question this

Editorial notes and cautions

Things we would want a friend to know before buying.

  • The vendor sells both a complete ERP and a manufacturing add-on for QuickBooks, SAP Business One, Dynamics and Sage. They are different purchases and the site does not always make clear which one a page is describing.

Evidence and verification

✓ VerifiedLast checked October 9, 2026 · 76% of capability fields resolved · 100% of those carry a source

Capabilities read from the vendor's own site and 2018 MPS and MRP datasheet, and from 2026 vendor webinars that show the bill of material, batch production, expiry handling and MRP netting on screen. The add-on-versus-full-ERP split is the thing a buyer most needs to pin down and it is the least clearly documented.

What we still want to confirm

We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.

  • Get pricing for both the full ERP and the manufacturing add-on, and the implementation cost. No prices are published; the site offers only "Request a Demo" and contact forms. Needs a sales quote.
  • Establish how purchase lead time offsets MRP order dates. The datasheet and the MRP and MPS pages give suggested dates and make lead time a required input, but no public page says lead time is subtracted from the need date. Needs a demo or the planner's manual.

Still unknown: serial numbers, ecommerce connection, api, webhooks, mcp support, full data export.
