Global Shop Solutions

by Global Shop Solutions

Manufacturing ERPProprietary SaaS✓ Verified

A large modular manufacturing ERP with more than thirty-five applications spanning bills of materials, routing, planning and scheduling, inventory, purchasing, quality, shop-floor data collection and accounting.

Why it is classified this way

We call this a Manufacturing ERP product. A broad business system (accounting, sales, purchasing) with a substantial manufacturing or planning module attached.

It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule; nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming; explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; uses lead times or required dates; and produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.

The six Full MRP tests, and how Global Shop Solutions does on each (1 of 6)
  1. YesIt represents a bill of materials, recipe, or formula.Evidence: globalshopsolutions.com(opens in a new tab)
  2. UnknownIt accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule. Not established. No evidence found yet.
  3. UnknownIt nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming. Not established. No evidence found yet.
  4. UnknownIt explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials. Not established. No evidence found yet.
  5. PartialIt uses lead times or required dates. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.
  6. PartialIt produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.

These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.

Best for

  • Established manufacturers wanting one vendor across production, quality, accounting and payroll
  • Shops that need on-premise deployment, including regulated or government work
  • Businesses across multiple countries needing a system used in twenty-five-plus of them

Not a fit when

  • Small shops, every signal here points at established mid-market manufacturers
  • Anyone who needs to compare on price without a sales process
  • Batch and recipe producers

Pricing facts

What it costs to do manufacturing in this product.

No published price

This vendor does not publish pricing, so you cannot compare it against anything here without contacting them. We will not estimate a figure.

What moves the real bill

  • No published price. You have to contact the vendor, which usually means a sales call.

Pricing detail

No figures are published. The pricing page describes a concurrent-user model, counting the people in the system at once, with an upfront cost plus an ongoing quarterly cost that includes updates and support. Shop-floor interfaces are also priced upfront plus quarterly. Ask how many concurrent users and which of the thirty-five-plus applications the quote assumes.

Planning

Working out what to buy or make, and when.

Planning capabilities, with our finding and its source for each.
CapabilityFindingWhat we found
Accepts dated demandYou can tell it what is due and when, sales orders with dates, a forecast, or a production schedule.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: documentation showing demand records that carry a required or due date.Know the answer?
Nets against stock on handIt subtracts what you already have before telling you to buy more.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: documentation describing a requirement calculation that deducts available stock.Know the answer?
Counts incoming ordersIt knows about purchase orders and production orders already placed, so it does not tell you to order twice.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: documentation showing open purchase or production orders included in the supply picture.Know the answer?
Uses lead timesIt works backwards from when you need something to when you must order or start it, using supplier and production lead times.PartialA vendor video on advanced planning and scheduling (2020 video) says "multi-level parts are accounted for based on each part's lead times due dates and operational requirements". That is lead times used in scheduling assemblies; no material order date is shown being moved back by a lead time, so partial.Source: Vendor video, 2020, at 1:30(opens in a new tab)Question this
Produces dated buy/make suggestionsThe output is an actionable list with dates, order this much by this date, start this batch on this date.PartialThe vendor promises you can "avoid stock out with automatic purchasing". Automatic purchasing exists; the calculation behind it is not described.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: globalshopsolutions.com(opens in a new tab)Question this
Capacity planningChecks whether your people and machines can do the work in the time available.YesThe vendor claims you can "know your true capacity" alongside a planning and scheduling module. A vendor video on advanced planning and scheduling (2020 video) shows load against capacity per work center with finite and infinite scheduling: "global shop solutions will automatically schedule the jobs based on priorities and due dates without exceeding your load capacities".Source: globalshopsolutions.com(opens in a new tab); Vendor video, 2020, at 0:53(opens in a new tab)Question this

Expiry & shelf lifeBest-before dates on materials and finished goods, with warnings before they lapse.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: documentation of expiry, best-before, or shelf-life date fields.Know the answer?
Serial numbersUnique identifiers on individual units, for warranty or field service.PartialThe inventory module lists "Bin, lot, heat and serial number tracking". The vendor's blog adds: "Our solution allows the serial numbers for the parent part and all the component parts to print on the invoice, the return merchandise authorization (RMA) or a credit memo." That example is a custom solution built with the Global Application Builder, so how far serials follow a unit through production as standard is not shown.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Editorial notes and cautions

Things we would want a friend to know before buying.

  • Pricing is by concurrent user, with an upfront cost plus a quarterly charge, and no figures are published. With thirty-five-plus applications, confirm which ones the quote covers before comparing two shops' numbers.
  • The inventory page lists "Material requirements planning" as a feature bullet, but no page describes the calculation, its dates or lead-time offsetting. We have not assumed time-phased planning.

Evidence and verification

✓ VerifiedLast checked October 9, 2026 · 60% of capability fields resolved · 100% of those carry a source

Module names are sourced from the vendor's home page, with lot, heat and serial tracking from the inventory module page and work order generation from the shop management page. Multi-level BOMs, finite capacity scheduling and lead times in scheduling come from two of the vendor's own YouTube videos, one from 2020 and one from 2025. Because modules are named rather than described, most other capability detail remains unknown. No public API documentation was found.

What we still want to confirm

We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.

  • Establish whether the planning and scheduling module performs a time-phased material requirements calculation. Public pages list "Material requirements planning" and "Inventory supply and demand" only as bullets and describe no calculation, dates or lead-time offsetting, so this needs a demo.
  • Obtain indicative pricing and the module list that produces it. The pricing page gives only the model, concurrent users with an upfront plus quarterly cost, and no figures or module list, so this needs a quote.
  • Ask whether an API exists and on what terms. No public API documentation was found; the only mention is an eCommerce bullet about transactions "with Web API", and integrations are sold as priced projects.

Still unknown: accepts dated demand, nets against stock on hand, counts incoming orders, recipes & formulas, expiry & shelf life, api, webhooks, mcp support, csv export, full data export.
