MISys Manufacturing

by Manufacturing Information Systems, Inc.

Full MRPProprietary on-premise✓ Verified

Windows manufacturing software that sits beside QuickBooks or Sage rather than replacing them: inventory, BOMs, work orders and costing in the base system, with MRP, shop floor control and lot tracking as modules you add.

Why it is classified this way

We call this a Full MRP product. Verified to take dated demand, net it against stock and incoming orders, explode a bill of materials, apply lead times, and produce dated buy-or-make recommendations.

This product meets all six of our Full MRP tests, and each one is backed by a first-party page we link below.

The six Full MRP tests, and how MISys Manufacturing does on each (6 of 6)
  1. YesIt represents a bill of materials, recipe, or formula.Evidence: misysinc.com › Features(opens in a new tab)
  2. YesIt accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule.Evidence: misysinc.com › Material requirements planning mrp(opens in a new tab)
  3. YesIt nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming.Evidence: misysinc.com › Material requirements planning mrp(opens in a new tab)
  4. YesIt explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials.Evidence: misysinc.com › Material requirements planning mrp(opens in a new tab)"MISys analyzes your production schedule and determines the materials and subassemblies required to support it." Shortages of raw materials and subassemblies come out of the MRP run. Needs the MRP module.
  5. YesIt uses lead times or required dates.Evidence: misysinc.com › Material requirements planning mrp(opens in a new tab); misysinc.com › Features(opens in a new tab)
  6. YesIt produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations.Evidence: misysinc.com › Material requirements planning mrp(opens in a new tab)

These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.

Best for

  • Manufacturers on QuickBooks or Sage who want MRP without moving their books
  • Discrete shops that want to buy only the modules they use, starting with inventory and BOMs
  • Teams happy to run a Windows client and SQL Server, on site or with a hosting partner

Not a fit when

  • Anyone who wants to compare prices before a sales conversation: there is no published figure
  • Batch and formula makers: recipes and expiry dates are not documented on the pages we read
  • Businesses looking to replace their accounting system, since MISys relies on it

Pricing facts

What it costs to do manufacturing in this product.

No published price

This vendor does not publish pricing, so you cannot compare it against anything here without contacting them. We will not estimate a figure.

What moves the real bill

  • Required add-ons. The manufacturing capability needs: Material Requirements Planning module, for the planning features, Shop Floor Control module, for routings and capacity, Serial/Lot Tracking module, for traceability.
  • Onboarding fee. The pricing page says the initial purchase includes "SureStart Data Conversion and Training" and 12 months of maintenance and technical support.
  • No published price. You have to contact the vendor, which usually means a sales call.

Pricing detail

No figure is published: "Instead of publishing a one-size-fits-all package price, we help you identify the manufacturing capabilities you actually need and provide an estimate based on those requirements." The estimate comes from the vendor's 6-Step Tour. Every system starts with Basic Manufacturing, and the initial purchase includes "12 Months of Maintenance & Technical Support", "SureStart Data Conversion and Training" and a "120-Day Money Back Guarantee". MRP, shop floor control, serial and lot tracking, bin tracking, labour tracking, barcoding, alerts and web access are modules priced on top. A fully functional trial download is offered; its length is not stated.

Activity can be reviewed "by period".Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: misysinc.com › Material requirements planning mrp(opens in a new tab)Question this

Editorial notes and cautions

Things we would want a friend to know before buying.

  • The planning evidence is the MRP module's product page, which is specific but not a manual. MISys publishes no user guide, so how supplier lead times set purchase release dates is described in outline only.
  • Planning, routings and lot tracking are separate modules, so the price depends on which you pick and is only available as an estimate from the vendor.

Evidence and verification

✓ VerifiedLast checked October 9, 2026 · 72% of capability fields resolved · 100% of those carry a source

Researched 2026-09-19 from the vendor's features, MRP, QuickBooks, serial/lot, pricing, system requirements and release-notes pages, read in full rather than summarized. Current version v6.4.8.0 (February 2026). The planning claims rest on the MRP module page; there is no public manual.

What we still want to confirm

We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.

  • Find documentation for recipes or formulas, expiry dates and quality inspections.
  • Confirm how supplier lead time sets the date of a Just In Time purchase release, ideally from a manual or demo video.
  • Get a sample price estimate for Basic Manufacturing plus the MRP module.
  • Check the MISys on Azure and cloud hosting pages for a vendor-run cloud option.
  • Find API documentation, CSV export and ecommerce connections.

Still unknown: recipes & formulas, quality controls, expiry & shelf life, ecommerce connection, webhooks, mcp support, csv export.
