Ordoro

by Ordoro, Inc.

Light manufacturingProprietary SaaSPartially verified

US e-commerce operations software sold as three apps: Shipping, Inventory and Dropshipping. The Inventory app's $499-a-month Premium plan adds bills of materials and manufacturing orders that take components out of stock and add finished goods, plus purchase orders and stocktakes; the $349 Advanced plan has none of these.

Why it is classified this way

We call this a Light manufacturing product. Has bills of materials or recipes, consumes stock when you build, and tracks production, but time-phased planning is not verified.

It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule; nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming; explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; uses lead times or required dates; and produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.

These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.

Best for

  • E-commerce brands that already ship from Ordoro and assemble a few finished SKUs from components, so the build takes parts out of stock
  • Multichannel sellers who want kits, purchase orders with goods receipts and stocktakes next to their order flow
  • Teams with many logins, since every inventory plan has unlimited users and warehouses

Not a fit when

  • One-to-five person makers on a budget: manufacturing starts at $499 a month, and the $349 plan has no BOMs, manufacturing orders or purchase orders
  • Anyone who needs routings, multi-level BOMs, lots or expiry dates; none is documented
  • Shops that want purchasing planned from dated demand and lead times; what exists is a low-stock filter and a custom reorder automation

Pricing detail

Three apps priced separately: Shipping (Essential free with 100 labels a month, Advanced $59, Premium $149), Inventory (Advanced $349, Premium $499) and Dropshipping (Advanced $299, Premium "Contact Us"); "Need more than one Ordoro app? Ask our team about bundled pricing." This record models the Inventory app. Both inventory plans list 1,000 orders a month, unlimited warehouses, sales channels and users, kitting and bundling, automation rules, advanced analytics, QuickBooks Online integration, API access, allocation and warehouse transfers; Premium adds Purchase Orders, Bill of Materials, Manufacturing Orders, Stocktakes and the Custom Forecasting Report. "*Exceeding 1,000 orders/mo will incur a $100 charge for every additional 1,000 orders." Prices are printed as "$" and "/mo" with no currency code and no annual figure; USD is assumed for a US vendor. The page says "No hidden fees. No rigid contracts. No-hassle plan switching." and "15-day free trial. No credit card required." The free Shipping plan has no inventory, kitting, BOM or purchasing features, so it is not recorded as a free plan here. The Just-In-Time reorder automation is switched on by support for a setup fee that is quoted, not published.

Accepts dated demandYou can tell it what is due and when, sales orders with dates, a forecast, or a production schedule.PartialOrders imported from sales channels show as committed stock, "how many units of the product are included in open orders (Awaiting Fulfillment)", and the custom Just-In-Time workflow reorders from them. No article shows a required or due date on demand, and the Custom Forecasting Report is units sold per past interval, not a forecast you enter.Reviewed October 10, 2026. Nets against stock on handIt subtracts what you already have before telling you to buy more.PartialAvailable stock is defined as "Available On Hand = Physical On Hand – Committed", and a BOM shows "Total BOMs that can be manufactured" from component stock. The only automatic net-to-buy figure is the Just-In-Time purchase order automation, which sizes a PO from committed quantity plus the low stock threshold, minus physical on hand and quantity already on purchase orders; support switches it on for a setup fee. In the standard Order More modal you type the quantity yourself.Reviewed October 10, 2026. Uses lead timesIt works backwards from when you need something to when you must order or start it, using supplier and production lead times.PartialLead time is a number of days set per supplier per product: "You can set a different Lead Time per supplier per product." It "will automatically appear on your Purchase orders, and the Order More Products modal." No article shows it moving a date or a reorder suggestion.Reviewed October 10, 2026. Produces dated buy/make suggestionsThe output is an actionable list with dates, order this much by this date, start this batch on this date.PartialThe Low Inventory filter lists products at or under their Low Stock Threshold and Order More turns the selection into a PO; the Premium-only Custom Forecasting Report gives units sold per interval with on-hand and reordered quantities. Editorial notes and cautions

Things we would want a friend to know before buying.

  • Manufacturing lives only on the $499-a-month Inventory Premium plan. Advanced at $349 shows a dash for Bill of Materials, Manufacturing Orders, Purchase Orders and Stocktakes. That is above most one-to-five person makers' budgets.
  • The inventory pricing table lists QuickBooks Online integration and API access on both plans, but the support center says the QuickBooks connection "is only available for Premium plans" and the API is "on the Premium Level plan and above". Ask before buying Advanced for either.
  • Each inventory plan covers 1,000 orders a month; past that it is $100 for every additional 1,000. Shipping is a separate app with its own free and paid plans, and the free Shipping plan has no inventory, kitting or BOM features.
  • The Just-In-Time reorder automation and the Custom Forecasting Report are set up by support on request; the reorder automation carries a setup fee that is quoted, not published.
  • The manufacturing rows rest on support-center documentation; the planning, routing and traceability rows have no documentation at all and are marked unknown rather than absent.

Alternatives to Ordoro

An alternative is always an alternative for a reason. There is no universal replacement.

  • KladanaLower costSimpler for makers

Kladana gives production orders, routings and a shop-floor app for about $67 a month, a fraction of Ordoro's $499 manufacturing tier, though without Ordoro's shipping labels and marketplace sync.

  • MRPeasyStronger true MRP

MRPeasy documents a requirements run that nets stock, applies supplier lead times and gives order-by dates, where Ordoro stops at a low-stock filter and a per-BOM buildable count.

Evidence and verification

Partially verifiedLast checked October 10, 2026 · 68% of capability fields resolved · 100% of those carry a source

Why this record is not Verified. New record from one research pass on 2026-10-10. Held at partially verified until an editor re-reads the cited pages.

Researched 2026-10-10 from ordoro.com (homepage, inventory pricing, combined pricing, inventory feature page and partners page), the support center at support.ordoro.com and the API reference at docs.ordoro.com, all read as plain HTML with curl. Nothing on the site was blocked or script-rendered; support searches for lot numbers, expiration dates, routings and webhooks returned no relevant article, so those rows stay unknown.

What we still want to confirm

We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.

  • Confirm whether a BOM component can itself be a BOM (multi-level); no article says either way.
  • Confirm whether the Advanced plan really includes the API and the QuickBooks connection; the pricing table and the support articles disagree.
  • Confirm whether a finished good's Weighted Average Unit Cost is recalculated from component costs when a manufacturing order completes.
  • Confirm whether an annual billing option or discount exists; only monthly prices are printed.
  • Confirm whether lot numbers, expiry dates or routings exist; the support search returns nothing for them.
  • Confirm whether webhooks exist; the API reference has no webhook endpoints and no page mentions them.

Still unknown: capacity planning, multi-level bom, routings & operations, quality controls, batch & lot traceability, expiry & shelf life, webhooks, mcp support.
