StockCraft
by Michael's 3D World
A small maker-built system with multi-level BOMs, wastage-aware cost calculation and reorder-point alerts, priced at $5 a month for unlimited products and users. The cheapest paid plan in this directory.
Why it is classified this way
We call this a Light manufacturing product. Has bills of materials or recipes, consumes stock when you build, and tracks production, but time-phased planning is not verified.
It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule; nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming; explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; uses lead times or required dates; and produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.
The six Full MRP tests, and how StockCraft does on each (1 of 6)

These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.
Best for
- Makers whose products share components across a hierarchy and who need cost to roll up properly
- Anyone who wastes material on every run and wants that in the cost, not guessed at afterwards
- Very small shops for whom $5 a month removes the decision entirely
Not a fit when
- Businesses that need vendor stability and support guarantees. This is a one-person project
- Shops needing lot traceability or expiry dates, neither of which we could verify
- Anyone who needs genuine time-phased planning despite the MRP label

Planning
Working out what to buy or make, and when.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Accepts dated demandYou can tell it what is due and when, sales orders with dates, a forecast, or a production schedule. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation showing demand records that carry a required or due date.Know the answer? |
| Nets against stock on handIt subtracts what you already have before telling you to buy more. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation describing a requirement calculation that deducts available stock.Know the answer? |
| Counts incoming ordersIt knows about purchase orders and production orders already placed, so it does not tell you to order twice. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation showing open purchase or production orders included in the supply picture.Know the answer? |
| Uses lead timesIt works backwards from when you need something to when you must order or start it, using supplier and production lead times. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation showing lead time fields that shift a suggested order or start date.Know the answer? |
| Produces dated buy/make suggestionsThe output is an actionable list with dates, order this much by this date, start this batch on this date. | Partial | The vendor calls it Material Requirements Planning, and describes it as reorder points and low-stock alerts. That is threshold-based replenishment, not a time-phased calculation. We record the capability at what the description supports.Reviewed October 9, 2026. | Capacity planningChecks whether your people and machines can do the work in the time available. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation of work-center or resource capacity being compared against load.Know the answer? |

| Routings & operationsThe ordered steps a product goes through, and which machine or station does each one. | Partial | The vendor states: "Define your own production process. Create custom states like 'Printing', 'Curing', or 'Polishing'. Track orders from payment through production to shipping exactly how you work." Custom production states can be defined. Ordered operations with machine or station assignments are not described. Checked 2026-09-14.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: stockcraft.org(opens in a new tab)Question this |

Commerce & accounting
Costs, purchasing, storefronts, and the books.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Product costing & COGSWhat it costs you to make one, and the cost of the goods you sold. | Yes | Real-time cost tracking across materials, labour, overhead and (unusually) wastage. Craft production wastes material in ways general-purpose systems ignore, and building that in is the most thoughtful thing about this product.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: stockcraft.org(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| PurchasingRaising and tracking purchase orders to suppliers from inside the system. | Partial | The FAQ describes a "Material Orders Page: Order timing insights and due date management recommendations", and purchase expenses sync to accounting on Plus. No page documents raising a supplier purchase order or receiving stock against one.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: stockcraft.org › Faq(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Accounting connectionSends financial data to bookkeeping software, or includes its own general ledger. | Partial | Xero, QuickBooks Online and MYOB Business are supported, and the FAQ states: "Accounting integrations are available exclusively on the Plus plan ($5/month)". Completed sales orders go over as invoices and material purchase expenses as bills, but each sync is started by hand rather than running automatically.Reviewed October 9, 2026. | Ecommerce connectionPulls orders and pushes stock levels to a storefront or marketplace. | Yes | Shopify with full auto-sync. Etsy and craft-fair sales are handled by manual order entry rather than a connector.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: stockcraft.org(opens in a new tab)Question this |
Openness & your data
Getting data in, out, and away if you leave.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| APIA documented programming interface so other software can read and write your data. | Yes | The vendor offers a tenant-isolated Agent API and MCP server with scoped, revocable API keys, and says catalog bulk-loading through it is on all plans. What else it can read and write is not documented on the page.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: stockcraft.org(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| WebhooksThe system can notify other software the moment something changes. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation of outbound webhooks or event subscriptions.Know the answer? |
| MCP supportA Model Context Protocol server, letting an AI assistant read or act on this data. Useful, but it has nothing to do with whether the product plans materials. | Yes | The vendor states: "Connect an AI agent ... to a secure, tenant-isolated Agent API and MCP server". We have not seen which tools the MCP server exposes.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: stockcraft.org(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| CSV exportYou can get your lists out as spreadsheet files. | Yes | The Getting Started guide states: "Export your materials, products, and reports as CSV or Excel files." | Full data exportYou can take everything, including history and relationships, not just a few screens' worth of rows. | Yes | The Getting Started guide offers account snapshots: "Download a full backup of your entire business database in a single ZIP archive." The guide does not say what file format sits inside the ZIP.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: stockcraft.org › Getting started(opens in a new tab)Question this |

Editorial notes and cautions
Things we would want a friend to know before buying.
- StockCraft describes its reorder-point alerts as Material Requirements Planning. Under our definition it is not: there is no evidence of dated demand, lead-time offsetting or dated ordering suggestions. That does not make it a bad tool. It makes the label imprecise, and this directory exists partly to say so.
- Wastage tracking in the cost calculation is genuinely well judged for craft production, and something products costing a hundred times more do not do.
- A single-maintainer product at $5 a month carries real continuity risk. The vendor does document CSV/Excel export and a full-account ZIP backup, so take a snapshot regularly rather than relying on the service staying up.
Alternatives to StockCraft
An alternative is always an alternative for a reason. There is no universal replacement.
- InventoraBetter commerce & accounting connection
Both target the same maker at the bottom of the market; Inventora has named ecommerce connectors, while StockCraft costs less and counts wastage in its costing.
Compared on Stockria's page, where we wrote: "Both sit at the very bottom of the market; StockCraft is cheaper still and counts wastage in its costing, Stockria is broader across purchasing, sales and warehouse work."
Evidence and verification
Sourced from the vendor's home page, FAQ and Getting Started guide. Classification deliberately reflects what the description supports rather than the label the vendor uses.

What we still want to confirm
We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.
- Confirm whether lot or batch tracking exists at all. No first-party page (home page, FAQ, Getting Started or the guides under /docs/) mentions lots or batches, and the vendor does not say they are absent. Needs a question to the maintainer or a trial.
- Confirm whether a supplier purchase order can be raised and received against. The FAQ only mentions a Material Orders page with due dates.
Still unknown: accepts dated demand, nets against stock on hand, counts incoming orders, uses lead times, capacity planning, recipes & formulas, shop-floor tracking, quality controls, batch & lot traceability, expiry & shelf life, serial numbers, webhooks.
