Inventora

by Inventora

Light manufacturingProprietary SaaS✓ Verified

Inventory and production tracking aimed squarely at makers, with materials, production runs, cost of goods and storefront connections, from $19 a month billed yearly with a 7-day free trial.

Why it is classified this way

We call this a Light manufacturing product. Has bills of materials or recipes, consumes stock when you build, and tracks production, but time-phased planning is not verified.

It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule; nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming; explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; uses lead times or required dates; and produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.

The six Full MRP tests, and how Inventora does on each (1 of 6)
  1. YesIt represents a bill of materials, recipe, or formula.Evidence: help.inventora.com › Products(opens in a new tab); inventora.com(opens in a new tab); changelog.inventora.com(opens in a new tab)
  2. PartialIt accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.
  3. PartialIt nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.
  4. UnknownIt explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials. Not established. No evidence found yet.

  6. PartialIt produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.

These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.

Best for

  • Solo makers who want to try real inventory software without a credit card
  • Etsy and Shopify sellers who need cost of goods sold without an accounting project
  • Small studios whose material list is short enough to fit inside the tier caps

Not a fit when

  • Anyone who needs planning. There is no evidence of time-phased material requirements here
  • Shops with hundreds of raw materials, where the material caps become the real price
  • Teams needing many seats, since each one beyond the plan's allowance costs $9 to $15 a month

Pricing detail

Starter $19/mo, Business $39/mo, Growth $99/mo billed yearly, or $23, $48 and $120 billed monthly. The pricing page opens on monthly billing ("Starter $23 /mo Billed Monthly") and shows the yearly figures behind a toggle. 7-day free trial. No free plan is publicly confirmed as currently available: the Starter plan lists "Everything in Hobby", but the page shows no Hobby plan or its limits. Seats: 2, 5, 10, with extra team members at $9, $12 or $15 a month. Material and variant caps rise 500 / 2,000 / 10,000. Batch traceability starts at Starter. Integrations are capped by tier (2, 3, then 5). Because the caps are on materials and variants rather than users, a maker with a long ingredient list can hit the ceiling faster than expected.

Editorial notes and cautions

Things we would want a friend to know before buying.

  • There is no free plan: the pricing page offers a 7-day free trial, after which Starter is $19 a month billed yearly or $23 monthly.
  • The headline prices are billed yearly. Paying monthly costs about 20% more: $23, $48 and $120.
  • Full batch traceability is included from Starter, the cheapest plan.

Alternatives to Inventora

An alternative is always an alternative for a reason. There is no universal replacement.

  • StocksmithStronger batch & traceabilityStronger true MRP

Stocksmith documents unlimited BOM depth, supplier lead times and a fuller costing model; Inventora is lighter and cheaper, and supports intermediate materials without stating how deep they nest.

  • Compared on Ardent Seller's page, where we wrote: "Inventora already syncs with QuickBooks and Zoho Books, publishes a REST API and connects more storefronts; Ardent Seller has a free plan and dated restock suggestions that Inventora does not document."

  • Compared on Atlessa Manufacturing's page, where we wrote: "Inventora starts at $19 a month, connects several storefronts and QuickBooks, and does not meter order lines; Atlessa goes further on lot trace and recall."

  • Compared on Batchforja's page, where we wrote: "Inventora already syncs with Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce and others and documents lots and expiry, where Batchforja's channel sync is still being built."

Evidence and verification

✓ VerifiedLast checked October 9, 2026 · 68% of capability fields resolved · 100% of those carry a source

Pricing and tier caps are precisely sourced. Capability evidence now comes from the API docs, the help center and the product changelog. Changelog links point to numbered pages that shift as new entries are added, so each note names the entry title and date to search for. All seven cited changelog entries were rechecked on 2026-09-18 and were still on the page numbers cited.

What we still want to confirm

We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.

  • Confirm whether the On Order quantity or committed stock feeds any suggestion of what to buy or make. No first-party page says so: the changelog describes reorder emails triggered by a minimum threshold, and On Order with its expected date as display features. Needs a trial.
  • Find a help article that shows the expiry date fields. The help center's full text never mentions expiry, expiration or best-before, so only the changelog announcement exists. Needs a trial or a question to the vendor.

Still unknown: uses lead times, capacity planning, routings & operations, quality controls, serial numbers, webhooks, mcp support, full data export.
