Beer30
by The 5th Ingredient
Brewery software built around the brew process: recipes, brew logs, tank scheduling, fermentation curves, lot traceability on inputs and finished goods, a material planner and TTB reports. A $30 Lite edition covers production; costing and the QuickBooks or Xero sync sit in the top bundle, from $313 a month.
Why it is classified this way
We call this a Batch / process manufacturing product. Built around recipes or formulas, batch runs, and lot genealogy. May or may not include full time-phased planning.
It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule; nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming; explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; uses lead times or required dates; and produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.

These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.
Best for
- Production-minded breweries that care most about brew logs, fermentation curves and yeast tracking
- Small breweries that want production and TTB reports for about $30 a month and can live without costing
- Kombucha makers, through the sister product Bucha30
Not a fit when
- Buyers who need costing on a small budget: COGS and the accounting sync start at $313 a month
- Anyone who wants to read the manual before buying: we found no public help center or API reference

Pricing detail
All figures are from-prices in US dollars a month: Beer30 Lite from $30 (self-service, on its own page), and the full Beer30 in three bundles, Essentials from $118, Essentials + Sales from $194 and Essentials + Sales + Finance from $313. "Pricing is in USD and determined by production volume and selected features or bundles", so the real figure comes by quote. Users are unlimited, there is a free two-week trial, and you can pay month to month or sign a contract to lock the price. The full-version table lists "Raw Material Inventory" only in the Finance bundle, while the Lite page says Lite "manages your raw materials inventory"; confirm which bundle you need for ingredient stock. The integrations page says "Varying integration fees apply for each integration", and API access is priced on request.

Editorial notes and cautions
Things we would want a friend to know before buying.
- Prices are from-figures set by production volume and bundle, and integrations carry their own fees, so get a written quote at your annual barrel count.
- TTB reporting is claimed for beer ("make TTB reporting as simple as a few clicks"); we found nothing on spirits or wine reports. FIVE x 5 partners with Beer30 for brewery-distilleries instead.
- Every capability here rests on marketing pages; the knowledge base is not public.
Alternatives to Beer30
An alternative is always an alternative for a reason. There is no universal replacement.
Breww includes batch costing and its QuickBooks and Xero sync in every volume tier, starting near $35 a month, where Beer30 keeps costing for its top bundle.
Ekos is the long-standing quote-only craft beverage system that many Beer30 prospects compare against, with spirits and wine reporting as well as beer.
Evidence and verification
Why this record is not Verified. Held at partially verified on purpose: every claim rests on marketing pages, there is no public documentation, and prices are from-figures set by volume.
Researched 2026-10-09 from the pricing, Beer30 software, Beer30 Lite, API, integrations and home pages at the5thingredient.com. The earlier rejection was based on an empty beer30.com page; the product lives on the vendor's own domain. Customer testimonials on those pages were not used as evidence.

What we still want to confirm
We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.
- Find documentation of how recipes deduct ingredients and whether the Material Resource Planner counts open purchase orders and lead times.
- Confirm which bundle includes raw material inventory, given the Lite page and the pricing table disagree.
- Confirm purchase orders, expiry or best-by handling, exports and webhooks.
- Get the price at a stated annual volume for each bundle.
Still unknown: counts incoming orders, uses lead times, produces dated buy/make suggestions, multi-level bom, routings & operations, expiry & shelf life, serial numbers, purchasing, webhooks, mcp support, csv export, full data export.
