ProShop ERP
by ProShop ERP
A combined ERP, execution system and quality management system for precision manufacturers, built around running a paperless shop and holding AS9100, ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 compliance evidence in the same place as the work.
Why it is classified this way
We call this a Manufacturing ERP product. A broad business system (accounting, sales, purchasing) with a substantial manufacturing or planning module attached.
It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; uses lead times or required dates; and produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.
The six Full MRP tests, and how ProShop ERP does on each (3 of 6)
- YesIt represents a bill of materials, recipe, or formula.Evidence: Vendor video, 2024, at 0:15(opens in a new tab)
- YesIt accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule.Evidence: Vendor video, 2024, at 1:07(opens in a new tab)
- YesIt nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming.Evidence: Vendor video, 2024, at 4:04(opens in a new tab); Vendor video, 2024, at 4:10(opens in a new tab)
- UnknownIt explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials. Not established. No evidence found yet.
- PartialIt uses lead times or required dates. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.
- PartialIt produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.
These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.
Best for
- Aerospace, defense and medical machine shops carrying AS9100, ITAR or NADCAP obligations
- Shops that want quality evidence generated by doing the work rather than assembled before an audit
- Manufacturers committed to going genuinely paperless
Not a fit when
- Small makers. The compliance apparatus is the point, and it is overhead you do not need without a regulator
- Batch and recipe producers
- Anyone needing published pricing
Pricing facts
What it costs to do manufacturing in this product.
No published price
This vendor does not publish pricing, so you cannot compare it against anything here without contacting them. We will not estimate a figure.
What moves the real bill
- Priced per user. The monthly figure multiplies by every person who needs an account.
- No published price. You have to contact the vendor, which usually means a sales call.
Pricing detail
The vendor's pricing page says pricing is customized and based on users, with a standard and a Government option, and publishes no figures. The vendor states that pricing counts the total number of users in the company and that every employee gets a login, which is a meaningfully different model from counting only office seats. The last published figure, in 2024, was $715 a month on a 12-month minimum contract.
Price history
- Subscriptions started at a minimum of $500 a month, typically about 7 to 8 seats, on a 12-month minimum term paid annually. Archived page, July 18, 2019(opens in a new tab)
- Minimum subscription rose to $650 a month for about 7 to 8 seats. Archived page, August 12, 2022(opens in a new tab)
- User-based pricing starting at $715 a month billed monthly or $7,800 a year billed annually, both on a 12-month minimum contract. Archived page, June 23, 2024(opens in a new tab)
- No figures shown; the page said pricing is customized and based on users. Archived page, February 27, 2026(opens in a new tab)

Manufacturing capability
17 of 25 fields resolved. "Unknown" means we have not found first-party evidence. It is not a No.
Planning
Working out what to buy or make, and when.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Accepts dated demandYou can tell it what is due and when, sales orders with dates, a forecast, or a production schedule. | Yes | Demand comes from customer orders turned into work orders. In a 2024 vendor demo each bill of materials line carries a need date: "this is essentially the date that I want to have the subcomponents ready for the sub assembly".Source: Vendor video, 2024, at 1:07(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Nets against stock on handIt subtracts what you already have before telling you to buy more. | Yes | In a 2024 vendor demo the cart calculation nets requirements against stock before suggesting a quantity: "it's going to take my total needed it's going to add in any Safety stock if I had that in ... evaluate my quantity on order evaluate the quantity in shop". Reorder point and order quantity also feed the suggestion.Source: Vendor video, 2024, at 4:04(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Counts incoming ordersIt knows about purchase orders and production orders already placed, so it does not tell you to order twice. | Yes | Open purchase orders and work in progress count as supply. In a 2024 vendor demo the cart calculation will "evaluate my quantity on order evaluate the quantity in shop".Source: Vendor video, 2024, at 4:10(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Uses lead timesIt works backwards from when you need something to when you must order or start it, using supplier and production lead times. | Partial | A 2024 vendor demo shows backward scheduling of operations: "the system is calculated for each operation on the work order what the drop dead date is to support its subsequent operation". No purchase lead time is shown moving a material order date, so partial.Source: Vendor video, 2024, at 4:31(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Produces dated buy/make suggestionsThe output is an actionable list with dates, order this much by this date, start this batch on this date. | Partial | In a 2024 vendor demo, suggested quantities become sub-assembly work orders and purchase orders: "everything is going to come through with my date all my quantities". The date is the need date the planner entered on the bill of materials line, carried onto the orders; the demo shows no system-calculated order-by date and no separate dated suggestion list.Source: Vendor video, 2024, at 5:38(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Capacity planningChecks whether your people and machines can do the work in the time available. | Partial | The vendor states: "ProShop's schedule and phantom job placement can help you account for the time the job would take, and see its impact alongside other jobs in the pipeline. This can help you determine if you have the capacity to meet the lead time." From a vendor blog post about scheduling. It shows placing a phantom job to check the load rather than a documented capacity planning feature, so partial. Checked 2026-09-14.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Production
Recipes, bills of materials, and running the work.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Bill of materialsA list of the parts and quantities needed to make one of something. | Yes | In a 2024 vendor demo, a welded assembly goes from estimate to quote to order, and the presenter says they will "turn it into a work order and then order the component parts which are on the bill of materials here".Source: Vendor video, 2024, at 0:15(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Multi-level BOMSub-assemblies inside assemblies, a part that is itself made from other parts, nested as deep as you need. | Yes | In a 2024 vendor demo the presenter says "I'm going to show you how to use the cart system to manage a multi-level assembly", then creates work orders for the sub-assemblies. The example is "a simple version that's only two levels deep"; the presenter says it can go through many more levels.Source: Vendor video, 2024(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Recipes & formulasBatch-style production by weight, volume, or percentage, including scaling a batch up or down. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation of recipe or formula records, ideally with batch scaling.Know the answer? |
| Work / manufacturing ordersA record authorising and tracking the making of a specific quantity. | Yes | In a 2024 vendor demo, work orders are issued from a customer order: "and now we can issue a work order so I'm going to issue work order for those 10 pieces".Source: Vendor video, 2024, at 1:54(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Routings & operationsThe ordered steps a product goes through, and which machine or station does each one. | Yes | In a 2024 vendor demo, routing steps are set on the part, and the presenter notes ProShop "supports multiple routing methods per part number".Source: Vendor video, 2024, at 2:55(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Shop-floor trackingOperators report progress, time, and completions as the work happens. | Yes | The product is described as 100% paperless, with an integrated MES and shop-floor data feeding the schedule live.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: proshoperp.com(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Quality controlsChecks, tests, holds, and non-conformance records tied to production or receiving. | Yes | An integrated QMS supporting ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and AS9100, with ITAR and NADCAP compliance and full traceability for aerospace work.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: proshoperp.com(opens in a new tab)Question this |
Inventory & traceability
Knowing what you hold and being able to trace it.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Batch & lot traceabilityWhich incoming material lots went into which finished batch, and where those finished goods went. | Partial | In a vendor video on managing material (2020 video), material certs and purchase order lines are traced to work orders: "of course we can still track material CTS traceability all of that no problem". Lot numbers carried through to finished goods were not shown, so partial.Source: Vendor video, 2020, at 1:52(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Expiry & shelf lifeBest-before dates on materials and finished goods, with warnings before they lapse. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation of expiry, best-before, or shelf-life date fields.Know the answer? |
| Serial numbersUnique identifiers on individual units, for warranty or field service. | Yes | In a 2024 vendor demo the presenter says "we can serialize ... manufactured components so things that are related to parts and work orders", with serials given per unit on assembly work orders and serialized components pulled from inventory.Source: Vendor video, 2024, at 0:17(opens in a new tab)Question this |
Commerce & accounting
Costs, purchasing, storefronts, and the books.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Product costing & COGSWhat it costs you to make one, and the cost of the goods you sold. | Partial | In a 2024 vendor overview webinar the founder says "as Jobs ship out of the system we automatically calculate the job profit" and shows a job profitability dashboard. Cost of goods and inventory valuation were not shown, so partial.Source: Vendor video, 2024, at 11:40(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| PurchasingRaising and tracking purchase orders to suppliers from inside the system. | Yes | In a 2024 vendor demo, bill of materials lines flow into a purchasing cart and on to a vendor purchase order: "this clipboard icon has turned blue and that means it's feeding into our purchasing system".Source: Vendor video, 2024, at 3:19(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Accounting connectionSends financial data to bookkeeping software, or includes its own general ledger. | Yes | The vendor states: "ProShop connects with QuickBooks to streamline your accounting workflow. Editorial notes and cautions
Things we would want a friend to know before buying.
- Pricing on total company headcount rather than named seats is unusual and cuts both ways. It removes the temptation to share logins, and it means a shop with many floor staff pays for all of them. Model it against a product with a cheap shop-floor seat, such as Statii, before deciding.
- Combining ERP, MES and QMS in one system is genuinely rare. For a shop currently running three tools and a filing cabinet, that consolidation may matter more than any individual feature.
Alternatives to ProShop ERP
An alternative is always an alternative for a reason. There is no universal replacement.
- FulcrumBetter for job shops
Both target precision shops with quality obligations; ProShop bundles a full QMS, while Fulcrum builds its product around automatic scheduling.
Evidence and verification
The vendor's pricing page returned a block during our checks, so we recorded the billing basis from public statements without the rates. Bills of materials, work orders, routings, purchasing, serials and job costing are sourced from the vendor's own 2024 YouTube demos rather than product pages. On time-phasing: the 2024 vendor demo shows no automatic time-phased MRP run. A planner runs the cart calculation over selected work orders, netting stock, on-order and in-shop quantities, safety stock, reorder point and order quantity, with need dates taken from the bill of materials, and the presenter describes it as a daily routine: "if I do these jobs sort of on a rolling basis every day I would come through and do this process".

What we still want to confirm
We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.
- Obtain a quote with the per-user rate. On 2026-09-18 the pricing page still said only 'Pricing based on Users', with standard and Government options and a quote form.
Still unknown: recipes & formulas, expiry & shelf life, ecommerce connection, api, webhooks, mcp support, csv export, full data export.
