Ekos
by Ekos
Craft beverage software for breweries, wineries, cideries and distilleries, covering inventory, production, lot tracking, keg tracking, sales and TTB reporting, with QuickBooks and Shopify connections. Every tier is priced by quote.
Why it is classified this way
We call this a Batch / process manufacturing product. Built around recipes or formulas, batch runs, and lot genealogy. May or may not include full time-phased planning.
It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it represents a bill of materials, recipe, or formula; accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule; nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming; explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; uses lead times or required dates; and produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.
The six Full MRP tests, and how Ekos does on each (0 of 6)
- PartialIt represents a bill of materials, recipe, or formula. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.
- UnknownIt accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule. Not established. No evidence found yet.
- UnknownIt nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming. Not established. No evidence found yet.
- UnknownIt explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials. Not established. No evidence found yet.

These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.
Best for
- Craft breweries, wineries and distilleries that want TTB reporting and keg tracking with inventory and production
- Producers who keep their books in QuickBooks
Not a fit when
- Buyers who need a published price before a sales call
- Anyone needing documented MRP planning: the pages we read describe forecasting and reorder points, not dated order suggestions
Pricing facts

Pricing detail
Three tiers, Essentials, Plus and Professional, set per industry (beer and cider, wine, spirits). All three say "Request pricing". The page lists implementation services with a dedicated specialist and several hours of training, without a price. The core platform page says users are unlimited. The tier table shows which features each tier includes as icons we could not read reliably, so we have not recorded which tier has lot tracking or the accounting integration. The Ekos Core Platform and Beverage ERP are presented as separate pages, but the pricing page does not say how they map onto the tiers.

Working out what to buy or make, and when.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Accepts dated demandYou can tell it what is due and when, sales orders with dates, a forecast, or a production schedule. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation showing demand records that carry a required or due date.Know the answer? |
| Nets against stock on handIt subtracts what you already have before telling you to buy more. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation describing a requirement calculation that deducts available stock.Know the answer? |
| Counts incoming ordersIt knows about purchase orders and production orders already placed, so it does not tell you to order twice. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation showing open purchase or production orders included in the supply picture.Know the answer? |
| Uses lead timesIt works backwards from when you need something to when you must order or start it, using supplier and production lead times. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation showing lead time fields that shift a suggested order or start date.Know the answer? |
| Produces dated buy/make suggestionsThe output is an actionable list with dates, order this much by this date, start this batch on this date. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation or a screenshot of replenishment or planning suggestions carrying dates.Know the answer? |
| Capacity planningChecks whether your people and machines can do the work in the time available. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation of work-center or resource capacity being compared against load.Know the answer? |

| Multi-level BOMSub-assemblies inside assemblies, a part that is itself made from other parts, nested as deep as you need. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation of nested or multi-level bom structures, not just a flat component list.Know the answer? |
| Recipes & formulasBatch-style production by weight, volume, or percentage, including scaling a batch up or down. | Partial | Recipes are named as part of production management ("managing your recipes, tracking production stages, and monitoring batch quality"). Editorial notes and cautions
Things we would want a friend to know before buying.
- Most of this record rests on Ekos's marketing pages. Its user knowledge base is behind a login, so we could not check how the features work in detail.
Alternatives to Ekos
An alternative is always an alternative for a reason. There is no universal replacement.
Compared on Beer30's page, where we wrote: "Ekos is the long-standing quote-only craft beverage system that many Beer30 prospects compare against, with spirits and wine reporting as well as beer."
Compared on BrewMan's page, where we wrote: "Ekos is a US-headquartered craft beverage system with TTB reporting for beer, wine and spirits, sold by quote rather than per seat."
Compared on DISTILL x 5's page, where we wrote: "Ekos runs spirits alongside beer, wine and cider and lists Shopify and Commerce7 connections, which DISTILL x 5 does not offer."
Compared on Ollie's page, where we wrote: "Ekos covers the same craft beer, cider and spirits ground with keg tracking and TTB reporting, but it only quotes prices on request."
Evidence and verification
Researched 2026-09-19 from the pricing, core platform, Beverage ERP, lot tracking, inventory and integration pages. The knowledge base needs a login, so capability depth is not confirmed.

What we still want to confirm
We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.
- Get a price for each tier, and which tier includes lot tracking and the accounting integration.
- Find public documentation for forecasting, purchase orders and how reorder points are calculated.
- Confirm API access, exports and whether the Beverage ERP is a separate product or a tier.
Still unknown: accepts dated demand, nets against stock on hand, counts incoming orders, uses lead times, produces dated buy/make suggestions, capacity planning, bill of materials, multi-level bom, routings & operations, shop-floor tracking, serial numbers, purchasing, api, webhooks, mcp support, csv export, full data export.
