Mar-Kov
by Mar-Kov Computer Systems
Batch manufacturing and compliance software for recipe-driven makers, with electronic batch records and end-to-end lot traceability at its center. One of the few vendors in this catalog that names small manufacturers moving off spreadsheets as a target rather than only enterprises.
Why it is classified this way
We call this a Batch / process manufacturing product. Built around recipes or formulas, batch runs, and lot genealogy. May or may not include full time-phased planning.
It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule; nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming; explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; uses lead times or required dates; and produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.

These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.
Best for
- Regulated small makers who need electronic batch records and sign-offs, not just a stock count
- Shops facing recall drills, since end-to-end lot traceability is the product's center of gravity
- Makers on QuickBooks who want manufacturing without changing accounting
Not a fit when
- Anyone needing a published price, since the vendor quotes on request
- Shops wanting verified time-phased planning, which the public material does not describe
Pricing facts
What it costs to do manufacturing in this product.
No published price
This vendor does not publish pricing, so you cannot compare it against anything here without contacting them. We will not estimate a figure.
What moves the real bill
- No published price. You have to contact the vendor, which usually means a sales call.
Pricing detail
No published pricing. The plans page lists features for a Standard and a Regulated plan but no prices, and the site routes you to a demo booking. Electronic batch records are included, not extra: the plans comparison ticks "Electronic Batch Records" for both plans, while e-signature workflow is Regulated only. Given the vendor explicitly targets small manufacturers moving off spreadsheets, the entry price is the question worth asking first.

Planning
Working out what to buy or make, and when.
| Capability | Finding | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Accepts dated demandYou can tell it what is due and when, sales orders with dates, a forecast, or a production schedule. | Partial | The MRP page says "You can plan using actual customer orders, forecasts, or a hybrid, ideal for custom runs and high-volume production." Orders and forecasts are stated inputs, but no page shows them carrying due dates. From a marketing page with FAQ.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: mar-kov.com › Material requirements planning(opens in a new tab)Question this |
| Nets against stock on handIt subtracts what you already have before telling you to buy more. | Partial | Material Requirements Planning is named, and the vendor promises you will "know exactly what you need to buy with the push of a button". What that calculation includes is not published. The MRP page says the plan adjusts to changes in sales orders, forecasts and inventory levels, and that it factors in lead times. It does not say whether open purchase orders are netted.Reviewed October 9, 2026. | Counts incoming ordersIt knows about purchase orders and production orders already placed, so it does not tell you to order twice. | Partial | The MRP page's FAQ says "Mar-Kov gives you a centralized dashboard to view POs, expected receipts, stock levels, and upcoming production needs in real time." Open orders are visible next to stock, but nothing says they count as supply in the requirement calculation.Reviewed October 9, 2026. | Uses lead timesIt works backwards from when you need something to when you must order or start it, using supplier and production lead times. | Partial | The vendor's MRP page says it "Incorporates lead times of raw materials and production to ensure no missed deadlines." That is a marketing page naming lead times as an input; no page shows them shifting a suggested order date.Reviewed October 9, 2026. | Produces dated buy/make suggestionsThe output is an actionable list with dates, order this much by this date, start this batch on this date. | Unknown | Not yet researched. We would need: documentation or a screenshot of replenishment or planning suggestions carrying dates.Know the answer? |
| Capacity planningChecks whether your people and machines can do the work in the time available. | Partial | Schedule management is named without any statement about capacity constraints.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: mar-kov.com(opens in a new tab)Question this |

Editorial notes and cautions
Things we would want a friend to know before buying.
- The vendor says it serves "a small manufacturer moving off spreadsheets or an established enterprise". That range is unusually wide, so confirm which end of it your implementation and price reflect.
Evidence and verification
Read from the vendor's own site. Traceability, expiry and batch record claims are stated plainly and specifically, which is why they are recorded as yes. The planning claims are vaguer and are recorded as partial.

What we still want to confirm
We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.
- Get pricing. The plans page lists features per plan but no prices; it needs a demo or a sales quote.
- Establish whether open purchase orders are netted in the MRP calculation and whether it outputs dated suggestions. The MRP page names orders, forecasts, inventory and lead times as inputs but shows neither.
- Confirm serial number support with the vendor. No first-party page mentions serial numbers for tracking.
Still unknown: produces dated buy/make suggestions, multi-level bom, serial numbers, api, webhooks, mcp support, csv export, full data export.
