MIE Trak Pro

by MIE Solutions

Manufacturing ERPPasses all 6 Full MRP testsProprietary SaaS✓ Verified

A quote-to-cash manufacturing ERP whose MRP module creates or amends production and procurement orders from existing and forecast requirements, with forward-finite and backward-infinite scheduling options.

Why it is classified this way

We call this a Manufacturing ERP product. A broad business system (accounting, sales, purchasing) with a substantial manufacturing or planning module attached.

This product meets our Full MRP tests, but we classify it by its center of gravity rather than its planning engine alone. The capability table below shows the detail.

The six Full MRP tests, and how MIE Trak Pro does on each (6 of 6)
  1. YesIt represents a bill of materials, recipe, or formula.Evidence: mie-solutions.com › Mie trak pro(opens in a new tab)
  2. YesIt accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule.Evidence: mie-solutions.com › Mie trak pro(opens in a new tab)
  3. YesIt nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming.Evidence: help.mie-solutions.com › Mrp procedures(opens in a new tab)
  4. YesIt explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials.Evidence: help.mie-solutions.com › Mrp procedures(opens in a new tab)The MRP procedures manual: "This option explodes all fabricated components into corresponding Bill of Material items based on the fabricated component requirements." Deselecting Include Bill Of Material plans "top level fabricated items only", so explosion depends on that run setting.
  5. YesIt uses lead times or required dates.Evidence: help.mie-solutions.com › Item manufacturing specifications tab(opens in a new tab)
  6. YesIt produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations.Evidence: help.mie-solutions.com › Mrp overview(opens in a new tab); mie-solutions.com › Mie trak pro(opens in a new tab)

These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.

Best for

  • Job shops that quote heavily and need costing data feeding the estimate
  • Shops needing both forward-finite and backward-infinite scheduling depending on the job
  • Manufacturers who want the option of on-premise deployment

Not a fit when

  • Small makers, this is a mid-market ERP
  • Batch and recipe producers
  • Buyers needing published pricing

CapabilityFindingWhat we found
Accepts dated demandYou can tell it what is due and when, sales orders with dates, a forecast, or a production schedule.YesThe MRP module works from "existing, or forecasted future, requirements". Both actual orders and a forecast are accepted inputs.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: mie-solutions.com › Mie trak pro(opens in a new tab)Question this
Nets against stock on handIt subtracts what you already have before telling you to buy more.YesThe vendor's help center states: "The MRP system calculates on-hand quantity by subtracting work order and purchase order production and purchases from open order and forecast demand, indicating where inventory is short." The MRP result shows a projected on-hand column, where a negative figure means a shortage. Checked 2026-09-18.Reviewed September 18, 2026. Source: help.mie-solutions.com › Mrp procedures(opens in a new tab)Question this
Counts incoming ordersIt knows about purchase orders and production orders already placed, so it does not tell you to order twice.YesThe vendor's help center states: "The Available To Promise grid lists firm Sales Orders, released Work Orders and open Purchase Orders for the highlighted item." Open purchase orders and work orders count as supply, and MRP flags late or short POs. Checked 2026-09-18.Reviewed September 18, 2026. Source: help.mie-solutions.com › Mrp procedures(opens in a new tab)Question this
Uses lead timesIt works backwards from when you need something to when you must order or start it, using supplier and production lead times.YesThe item lead time field is described as: "Specifies the number of days required for the part to arrive on the dock after placing the Purchase Order. In MRP, it affects suggestions based on the Order by Date." MRP also flags purchase orders that break an open work order's lead time. Checked 2026-09-18.Reviewed September 18, 2026. Source: help.mie-solutions.com › Item manufacturing specifications tab(opens in a new tab)Question this
Produces dated buy/make suggestionsThe output is an actionable list with dates, order this much by this date, start this batch on this date.YesThe vendor's MRP overview states: "It considers all parts currently in inventory and on the Shop Floor for production, and calculates need based on forecasting and open orders so that you know exactly what materials you need to order, and when." Suggestions can be filtered by required date or order-by date, and include proposed work orders and POs as well as move-in and move-out actions on existing orders. Checked 2026-09-18.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: help.mie-solutions.com › Mrp overview(opens in a new tab); mie-solutions.com › Mie trak pro(opens in a new tab)Question this
Capacity planningChecks whether your people and machines can do the work in the time available.Yes"Forward finite, backward infinite, and calendar-based drag-and-drop scheduling". Finite capacity is explicitly one of the modes.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: mie-solutions.com › Mie trak pro(opens in a new tab)Question this

Production

Recipes, bills of materials, and running the work.

Production capabilities, with our finding and its source for each.
CapabilityFindingWhat we found
Bill of materialsA list of the parts and quantities needed to make one of something.YesBOMs can be imported from a CAD converter, file import or manual entry, and drive demand.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: mie-solutions.com › Mie trak pro(opens in a new tab)Question this
Multi-level BOMSub-assemblies inside assemblies, a part that is itself made from other parts, nested as deep as you need.YesThe vendor's help center states: "A router can contain sub-routers. A sub-router is the instructions and bill of materials to create a sub-assembly for a main assembly." MRP can explode the assembly bill of materials. Checked 2026-09-18.Reviewed September 18, 2026. Recipes & formulasBatch-style production by weight, volume, or percentage, including scaling a batch up or down.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: documentation of recipe or formula records, ideally with batch scaling.Know the answer?
Work / manufacturing ordersA record authorising and tracking the making of a specific quantity.YesWork order scheduling and reporting is listed among the module set, with sales orders created from RFQs, quotes, PDFs or EDI.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Source: mie-solutions.com › Mie trak pro(opens in a new tab)Question this
Routings & operationsThe ordered steps a product goes through, and which machine or station does each one.YesThe vendor's help center states: "A router contains a list of materials and work centers (similar types of machines that perform an operation) needed to create a part." Operations are added to the router in sequence. Checked 2026-09-18.Reviewed September 18, 2026. Source: help.mie-solutions.com › Routers overview(opens in a new tab)Question this
Shop-floor trackingOperators report progress, time, and completions as the work happens.YesThe vendor states: "Use MIE Trak Pro's Kiosk module to track real-time job progress and employee clock-in (without the need for paper timesheets). Shop floor employees can see their schedule, view documents, issue material to jobs, create PO requests, and more." From the vendor's Kiosk module page. Checked 2026-09-14.Reviewed October 9, 2026. Inventory & traceability

Knowing what you hold and being able to trace it.

Inventory & traceability capabilities, with our finding and its source for each.
CapabilityFindingWhat we found
Batch & lot traceabilityWhich incoming material lots went into which finished batch, and where those finished goods went.PartialThe PO receiving guide says: "Split the line into separate lot numbers. For example, a shipment arrives in four boxes and each box has a lot number." Lot numbers can be auto-created at PO receiving and at work order completion, and the work order settings say: "If there is a work order associated with a sub component via lot number tracking, when issuing subcomponents to an assembly, this option uses the work order costs that created the parts." So a lot can tie an issued subcomponent back to the work order that made it, but we found no genealogy or trace report from raw lot to finished-goods lot.Source: help.mie-solutions.com › Creating a po receiver(opens in a new tab); help.mie-solutions.com › Work order(opens in a new tab)Question this
Expiry & shelf lifeBest-before dates on materials and finished goods, with warnings before they lapse.YesItem inventory locations have an expiration date column, described as "Date that the items in this location expire". Expiry is also recorded when receiving a PO. This is a field description; we have not seen expiry alerts or pick rules. Checked 2026-09-18.Reviewed September 18, 2026. Source: help.mie-solutions.com › Item inventory tab(opens in a new tab)Question this
Serial numbersUnique identifiers on individual units, for warranty or field service.YesThe 2023 Q4 release notes state: "The Item Serial Number grid can now be filtered when issuing Serialized Bill of Materials from the Work Order Tracking Tab." Serial numbers are also kept per item and tied to invoices when shipped. We did not find a dedicated how-to article. Checked 2026-09-18.Reviewed September 18, 2026. It is a separate MIE Ecommerce Service install, the API keys come through MIE support, and orders import every 15 minutes. Checked 2026-09-18.Reviewed September 18, 2026. WebhooksThe system can notify other software the moment something changes.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: documentation of outbound webhooks or event subscriptions.Know the answer?
MCP supportA Model Context Protocol server, letting an AI assistant read or act on this data. Useful, but it has nothing to do with whether the product plans materials.UnknownNot yet researched. We would need: a first-party mcp server, or documentation of one.Know the answer?
CSV exportYou can get your lists out as spreadsheet files.YesThe vendor's help center states: "You can print or save a Report as an alternative file type using the Type > Dropdown menu from the Print Report Option window." The file types include CSV and PDF. Export is per report, not from every grid. Checked 2026-09-18.Reviewed September 18, 2026. Source: help.mie-solutions.com › Importing a report(opens in a new tab)Question this
Full data exportYou can take everything, including history and relationships, not just a few screens' worth of rows.YesThe vendor's help center states: "The simplest way to back up and restore your MIE Trak Pro database is to use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio." A full SQL Server backup is a complete copy of your data. This applies to on-premise installs. The help center's only hosting page describes cloud as running MIE Trak Pro on AWS: "AWS Hosting will also utilize SQL and Remote Desktop Deployment." A customer-run AWS install therefore has the same SQL database to back up; nothing covers vendor-managed hosting. Checked 2026-09-18.Reviewed September 18, 2026. Editorial notes and cautions

Things we would want a friend to know before buying.

  • The ability to alter existing production and procurement orders (not just create new ones) is a real MRP behavior and rarer than it should be. It is a strong reason to look here if rescheduling is a daily reality for you.
  • No published pricing. As with every quote-only product in this directory, budget for a sales cycle before you can compare it on cost.

Alternatives to MIE Trak Pro

An alternative is always an alternative for a reason. There is no universal replacement.

  • JobBOSS²Better for job shops

Direct competitors in the same segment. MIE Trak Pro documents its MRP module and scheduling modes in a public help center; JobBOSS² offers on-premise as well as cloud.

Evidence and verification

✓ VerifiedLast checked October 9, 2026 · 84% of capability fields resolved · 100% of those carry a source

Capability evidence from the MIE Trak Pro product page, which is more specific than most in this segment, and since 2026-09-18 from the vendor's public help center at help.mie-solutions.com, which documents the MRP run's netting, open orders, lead times and dated actions. Pricing is unpublished. On 2026-09-17 the vendor's separate MRP page returned 404; every quote taken from it was re-found word for word in the module descriptions on the product page.

What we still want to confirm

We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.

  • Obtain quoted pricing and seat structure. There is no public pricing; it is quote only.
  • Ask the vendor whether an API exists. The help center (351 articles) documents none, only third-party keys and an ODBC DSN for shipping, which is not a statement that there is no API.
  • Confirm whether any report traces raw-material lots through consumption to the finished-goods lot. The help center shows lots linking subcomponents to the work order that made them, but no trace report.
  • Confirm how customers on vendor-managed hosting get a full copy of their data. The help center covers only on-premise SQL Server and customer-run AWS installs.

Still unknown: recipes & formulas, api, webhooks, mcp support.
