Batchforja

by Batchforja

Light manufacturingProprietary SaaSPartially verified

A new production and inventory tool for handmade sellers, in early access. Recipes drive production suggestions from open orders and deduct raw materials when a run is logged. Sales-channel sync is still being built. Free during early access, with Workbench free, Studio $29 and Co-op $49 a month listed.

Beta, not generally available

The vendor calls Batchforja "early access": "The core system is built and working. We're onboarding our first users now." Accounts can be created today, but every sales-channel integration is still in development, and the homepage says it is "Free during early access" while those integrations are finished.

Why it is classified this way

We call this a Light manufacturing product. Has bills of materials or recipes, consumes stock when you build, and tracks production, but time-phased planning is not verified.

It is not labeled Full MRP because we have not verified that it accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule; nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming; explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials; uses lead times or required dates; and produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. That is a statement about the evidence we found, not a claim that the product is weak, see the capability table and the sources below.

The six Full MRP tests, and how Batchforja does on each (1 of 6)
  1. YesIt represents a bill of materials, recipe, or formula.Evidence: batchforja.com(opens in a new tab); Vendor blog, 2026(opens in a new tab)
  2. PartialIt accepts dated demand, sales orders, a forecast, or a master production schedule. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.
  3. PartialIt nets that demand against stock on hand and orders already incoming. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.
  4. UnknownIt explodes requirements through at least one level of the bill of materials. Not established. No evidence found yet.

  6. PartialIt produces dated buy, make, transfer, release, or reschedule recommendations. Not established. Only partly shown: the evidence covers some of this but not all of it, so the test is not established.

These rules are applied identically to every product and enforced at build time, a record cannot be published as Full MRP unless all six pass with a source attached. Read the methodology.

Best for

  • Makers who want to try recipe-driven production and material deduction free while the product is in early access
  • Small soap, candle and skincare businesses that sell to order and want batch suggestions from open orders
  • Founders who want direct contact with the person building the tool and a say in what gets built next

Not a fit when

  • Anyone who needs Etsy or Shopify stock sync now; every channel integration is still in development
  • Shops that need documented lot and expiry tracking for cosmetics or food records today
  • Teams that need several users without paying for Co-op, the only tier that lists multi-user access

Pricing detail

Three tiers: Workbench $0, Studio $29 a month and Co-op $49 a month. Co-op adds unlimited sales channels, advanced reporting, multi-user access and priority support. The first 50 founding members get Studio at $19 a month, "locked in permanently, as long as you stay subscribed". The homepage also says Batchforja is "Free during early access. Full features, no credit card", and that founding users "lock in a discounted rate once pricing starts", so the listed prices are not yet being charged. No annual price is published. On the vendor's roadmap

The vendor's own account of what is coming, dated. A plan changes nothing in the table above, which records what we saw working.

  • Native channel integrations for Etsy, Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, Faire and others are in development, with early access members choosing which come first. Vendor statement, October 9, 2026.
  • Phase tracking for formulas is in active development. Vendor statement, July 8, 2026.

Editorial notes and cautions

Things we would want a friend to know before buying.

  • Early access: the vendor says the core system works and the first users are being onboarded. Its headline feature, stock sync to every channel, is not built yet.
  • The listed prices are not charged yet ("Free during early access"). When pricing starts, the free Workbench plan lacks production planning, BOM and auto-manufacture, so the useful entry is Studio at $29, or $19 for the first 50 founding members.
  • There is no public help center or documentation, so this record rests on the homepage and two vendor blog posts.

Alternatives to Batchforja

An alternative is always an alternative for a reason. There is no universal replacement.

  • StocksmithBetter commerce & accounting connectionStronger batch & traceability

Stocksmith is an established maker tool with storefront connections and batch traceability that are live today, at a higher monthly price.

  • InventoraBetter commerce & accounting connection

Inventora already syncs with Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce and others and documents lots and expiry, where Batchforja's channel sync is still being built.

Evidence and verification

Partially verifiedLast checked October 9, 2026 · 40% of capability fields resolved · 100% of those carry a source

Batchforja publishes no documentation outside its app. The homepage is the main source; two vendor blog posts (July and August 2026) fill recipe and costing details and are limited sources.

What we still want to confirm

We publish our gaps rather than hiding them. If you can point us at a first-party page for any of these, we will update the record and credit the correction.

  • Find a public help center or documentation. The app links a Help Center, but no public docs were found.
  • Confirm whether lots and expiry dates are tracked. The blog discusses batch records for MoCRA but never says Batchforja stores lot numbers or expiry dates.
  • Confirm whether the free Workbench plan deducts materials automatically, since "Auto-manufacture" is listed only from Studio.
  • Confirm CSV export and whether a full account export exists.
  • Confirm the currency and when paid pricing starts.
  • Re-check channel integrations as they ship; none were live on 2026-10-09.

Still unknown: counts incoming orders, uses lead times, capacity planning, routings & operations, shop-floor tracking, quality controls, batch & lot traceability, expiry & shelf life, serial numbers, accounting connection, api, webhooks, mcp support, csv export, full data export.
